Wow....did anyone think they would hold Indy to 3 points?!?!

Yup

I'm a NE fan too, although I'm not a huge footbal fan, but you really thought Indy would only get 3 points the whole game? Really?

I honestly didn't. I would've thought Manning would score at least 1 TD. But I guess he was all hype.

last I check before the game, over/under was at 51 with 1.5 in favor the pats.

I'd rather have them rip the roofs out of the domes. Football was not intended to be played indoors

Time to change the sig. All I've been hearing about in the Boston papers is Peyton Manning for two weeks....

duh, the pats lost to the steelers. wtf does it matter how they did against common opponents??

yeah you can't do that. Patriots also lost to Miami, Steelers have not. Steelers have lost o Baltimore, Patriots have not.

Common sense would say 1 loss and a head to head win, vs. 2 losses, one of them to the team they are playing. It'd also say that both teams are different animals from back then, both are better teams.

Homefield advantage and a good overall history against Dillon, and a good history against the league's top backs, yielding no 100 yard game to any back since first game early in the season vs. Rudi Johnson and the Bengals. Martin the leagues' leading rusher couldn't crack 100 in two tries, I think he has even been held to less than 80 both times, let alone 100.

That's what the steelers say every year. Pats will send the Steelers packing again this year... Rothleisburger will hand the Pats defense the game - he can't handle playoff pressure.

the better team remark could be said and was said during the jets/chargers game. true if they didn't miss the fg they wouldn't won but a lost is a lost and many felt the chargers would've destory the jets.

And 2 more dome teams drop from the playoffs this week. It does my heart good to see dome teams get their asses handed to them in bad weather. I can't stand the Iggles but I hope they absolutely destroy the Falcons next week.

Stillers vs. Pats? I don't really care. I like both teams style of ball control football and mean defense.

Peyton didn't know what hit him. He had no idea where or what he was doing. 3 points out of the best offense? C'mon, I think he got scared and his brother was in there playing for him. If not, he certainly looked like him with the passes he was throwing... and "No Peyton, the ground cannot catch a ball for you, so stop throwing it there....." "GEEZE"....

As for the Pats....... ho hum..... they aren't a fun team to watch. Rather boring. They win, but you look at them and it's just like zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I did how ever think Corey made the biggest difference in the Pats offense this game. He was the man. 146yrds rushing. Finally glad to see him out of Cincy and on a good team. He deserves it.

I'm glad Indy lost. Something about that offense just irritates me. It's not real football to pass, pass, pass all the time. Now that's boring.

[edit] Just found some stats about Indy... since 1999, their indoor winning percentage is 68%. Outdoors is 60%. But outdoors when the temperature is below 40 degrees, they are only 3-4 in that time. In the ten coldest games since 1999, they are only 5-5 (not counting this year's Denver game when they rested their starters).

I agree with the level playing field, lets get rid of all the domes, and have only real football teams in the leaugue. :)

Hm... I find the pats to be the second most exciting team to watch of the remaining 4. With the first being the falcons and only due to those ridiculous squirmy 4000 yard runs by vick. I love seeing their defense make plays, and watching brady dink and dunk all the way to the end zone. Bruschi was incredible yesterday.

That was really a good game yesterday. I also love the way the Colts keep talking. They can't just accept they will NEVER win a superbowl until they start beefing up their defense. Funny too how Manning was only held to one field goal! hahahhaa. I can't stand that guy.

Heh, I was talking to my cousin about that last night. Get rid of all of the domes.

Of course, warm weather teams will still have problems in cold-weather places in January, while cold weather places won't have problems in the warm-weather places.

Oh well.

Watching the Eagles defense is very entertaining football. The Jimmy Johnson vs. Michael Vick show is going to be a doozie! Either that or Vick is going to get shut down again....
