temple of doom was the best one you guys are crazy. What other movie do they depict a guy getting his heart ripped out of his chest and then while still alive being lowered into a pit of molten lava. Talk about a classic movie moment.

temple of doom wanes when compared to those two...

EDIT: it might be because the ark and the holy grail are two things that i actually know about... i never heard about the stones in temple of doom.

It wasn't really Hollywood's idea to bring it back. Of course they are happy that the creators wanted to give another crack at the whole thing, but the fans have been begging for another one for years.

It just follows the pattern of the last few years, sequel everything to hell.

They've been talking about this for years anyways. If it bombs, it won't change my opinion of the first three.

They need to touch them up and release them on DVD. The last time I saw Raiders was on TV and it was not that great... it could have been so much better in DTS and letterbox format.

Boo to you, Spielberg and Lucas. Knowing them, the fourth one will be out on DVD before the first three get any lovin'.

All I'm asking for is *new* quality movies that would reach the status of series like Indiana Jones, without just tacking another film on to the end of old series. But, I'm sure I'll see this one, and I'm sure it won't bomb, but as to not cheapening the series as a whole we shall see.

Just give it some time. Hollywood has always had periods of years in which everything was bad. I still have hope. ;)

speilberg's dvd's come in DTS usually. lucas though, thats going to be a tough nut to crack. of course he's going to pimp his own format. and since the film is a LucasFilm production, he's gonna call the shots on this one. too bad. :(

It's possible that both formats could be on the disc. I haven't seen the specs, so I could be wrong.
