Wrong. It is in Baton Rouge now

That's not the center of circulation.

Just ordinary tropical moisture you can expect this time of the year.

NOLA.com

"Rainfall totals from these storms are estimated at between 4 to 6 inches with the possibility of isolated areas receiving more rain. Due to the slow speed of this system -- the remants of Tropical Storm Fay -- a risk of flash flooding exists, especially along roads and in low lying areas. In addition to the heavy rainfall, there is also a slight risk of damaging wind gusts."

Wrong. It is not ordinary tropical moisture, it is from Fay

Palm Bay got soaked, but the flooding in my neighborhood was minimal. Most of Melbourne that I saw, though, was a lake.

I flew out of Orlando International on Thursday. It was rainy and windy...and the first time I've ever taken off in high winds. Now, I'm sitting in the New Orleans airport waiting to fly back to Orlando...and it's rainy and windy again.

Fay just won't leave me alone...

yes, congratulations, it's summer time and it's going to storm some. unless the storm turns back around then none of that is associated with it.

and i don't live in central NC either.

also, where do you see rain on the radar dave?

Buck lake is the name of the road in 3 of the pics below ... this wasn't the lake until yesterday ... The fence is chest-high horse fence. Normally 95% is exposed, though it is in a low lying field. There is a sidewalk that is covered in water. I'd say it's over 10 ft deep in the middle there ...

This section was pretty deep, saw a few trucks go through over the tracks but didn't want to risk it with my little pickup :)
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/b...1/Capitola_Chaires.jpg

This looked most dangerous as it was pretty deep and you could see that it was running pretty good:

We also saw a BMW go through a road with water 1/3 up the doors ... it was NUTS, but he made it ...

Buck Lake Road?

My parents used to live there. Thanks for the picks.

I'm about 20 miles South of Asheville NC. Raining here now and we're expecting some *love* from Fay over the next 2-3 days. We're in drought now and the apple crops need the water. So, it's good news for us.

To all:

there have been too many psuedo personal attacks or attempted justification for making more posts.

Fay is no longer a storm threat and has not been for 3-4 day.
It is just a big rainstorm/low.

thread is locked.
