Official Houston Rockets thread

Rockets schedule is brutal this week. 5 games in 7 days, including at the memphis griz on tuesday, home for the LA Kobes wednesday, at SA on friday, and home for the suns on saturday. i doubt many other teams will have a harder week during the regular season.

yao just won western conference player of the week, following teammate tracy mcgrady. his line was 27.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks, .612 from the field and .906 from the charity stripe, and has made 22 consecutive free throws.

tonight's score: rockets 99, griz 105 🙁

current record: 6-2

They finally seem to be turning it around...for the past few seasons, you knew they were good, but you were kidding yourselves if you think they were going to get past the spurs or the mavs or the suns. Now, they seem to be the class of the West.

Um how about the Lakers this week? San Antonio, Houston, Detroit? We've had the toughest schedule to date......

And don't kid yourselves, the Rockets will choke in the playoffs like they always do. A slightly upgraded roster and a new coach won't change that.

i'll be happy if tmac and yao stay healthy all season. until that happens it doesn't even matter.

i also find it funny that they went and spent money on steve francis but he isn't even good enough to get any playing time at all.

so 3 games with 4 off days and only one back to back (and with the other team on the second game of it's back to back) is harder than 5 games in 7 days with two back to backs, where phoenix is coming off an off day?

bump + quote an old thread. It's hilarious anyone could mention the playoffs and choking and not mention the Lakers. Nobody chokes in the playoffs more often or better than the Lakers. NOBODY
