😀 Official Holiday45 MTR Race Stats for Saturday, December 22 😀

This is it, the Holiday45 MTR is officially over! Thanks and congratulations to all those who participated, it was a great race, to Soni for hosting the race, and to Smokeball for doing the handicapping, providing me with the original spreadsheet, and for doing his excellent MTR Special Analysis! 😀

TODAY'S STATS

Super-Teams

(C) Troopers ------------- 921
(A) Rogue Squadron -- 537
(B) SETI Bombers ------ 397

The Troopers put in a massive day, the second-best on the race, to finish strong, while Rogue Squadron had another good day, going over 500 WUs, while the SETI Bombers just missed out on 400.

Power Groups

Power Group 1

(C) Starship Troopers -- 773
(B) TeAm Lancer --------- 345
(A) TWAIN ------------------ 291

IsOs flexed his SETI muscles to put the Starship Troopers way ahead of the competition.

Power Group 2

(A) Seti Gobblers ------ 169
(C) 0-30°N Troopers -- 83
(B) TeAm Spirit -------- 70

Back-to-back wins for the Seti Gobblers, who were the only team in triple digits today.

Power Group 3

(C) OPQ Troopers -- 65
(B) TeAm Aurora ---- 36
(A) SWAT TeAm ------ 23

OPQ finishes the race down on their production of late, but still cranking out an amazing amount of WUs.

Total WUs produced by all racers today: 1855

TOTALS

Super-Teams

(A) Rogue Squadron -- 21365
(C) Troopers ------------- 20608
(B) SETI Bombers ------ 19148

The Troopers' huge day wasn't enough for them to ovetake Rogue Squadron, 700 WUs ahead, and won the race. The SETI Bombers were 1200 WUs behind the leaders in third.

Power Groups

Power Group 1

(A) TWAIN ------------------ 14111
(C) Starship Troopers -- 13368
(B) TeAm Lancer --------- 12810

In what was probably the most thrilling division of the race and featured many lead changes, the final finishing order saw TWAIN take top spot, followed by the Starship Troopers and TeAm Lancer.

Power Group 2

(A) Seti Gobblers ------ 6015
(C) 0-30°N Troopers -- 4676
(B) TeAm Spirit --------- 4493

The Seti Gobblers hit 6000 WUs today, which is amazing considering neither of the other teams even got to 5000!

Power Group 3

(C) OPQ Troopers -- 2564
(B) TeAm Aurora ---- 1845
(A) SWAT TeAm ------ 1239

Once the OPQ Troopers got going, this was the most lopsided power group, they only lost twice in the last half of the race.

Total WUs produced by all racers to date: 61121

Wow, to think that during this short period of time, only a fairly small fraction of the TeAm has managed to produce all of these WUs! Way to go, everyone! 😀

Any comments or suggestions on the way these are presented are quite welcome. If I've made a calculation error or typo somewhere in here, please let me know! Thanks to Smokeball for providing me with the original spreadsheet, handicapping and doing the MTR Special Analysis, and of course a big thanks to Soni for hosting the race 😀

I want to give DarkMajiq a hugh High Five for stepping up and handling the nightly thread for the Holiday45 MTR Race in such a fine manner. Adam, You really got the handle on this and we all appreciate your hard work. 😀

What can you say about Soni, the Stats Master of Team AnandTech. 😀 Thank you again for hosting the MTR Races, Soren. You are the best. 😀

I would like to congratulate the Rogue Squadron for winning the Super Team Race.

I would also like to congratulate Team Twain of the Rogue Squadron, winners of the Power Group 1 Race, Team Gobblers of the Rogue Squadron, winners of the Power Group 2 Race, and Team OPQ of the Troopers, winners of the Power Group 3 Race. 😀

I just wanted to thank everyone that joined in the Holiday45 MTR Race. I do believe that these races are a vital part of maintaining interest and increasing production for Team AnandTech. I hope everyone had a good time.

One good thing about keeping the races short, IMHO, is that as time goes by the handicapping will start to even out more and more. Those big producers will have to build on some really awesome numbers in the next race. 😉 🙂 😀

This format was indeed complicated. Maybe the next race ought to take on the format that was outlined by Baldy18 with just SuperTeams. Whatever the majority wants is what we should do. 🙂

Mahalo Nui Loa to the stats keepers🙂

Congratuations to all the winners and thank you to all participants.

Merry Christmas and have a safe holidays🙂

Woohoo! Way to go TWAIN and Rogue Squadron! 😀

Congrats to ALL of the racing members too, especially since we did collectively clear the 60,000 WU goal! :Q 🙂

4, errrrrr, 5 (dasm!)

Thanks for the great job on stats and commentary, Soni, Dark Majiq, and Grandpa Smoke!! All of your hard work is very much appreciated!

Troopers, hold your heads up high! Were it not for one 1000 WU day by Grant, we would have taken top spot overall. All three groups put in tremendous efforts, with two second place finishes and a great, big, over-the-top, smash mouth victory by the OPQ Troopers! Didn't I say that our chance to win would come from OPQ?!

Thanks for a very entertaining 45 days, everyone!! Happy Holidays!!

😀

Thanks for the stats guys and thanks everyone for a race well run.

Congrats to all my SETI Bomber teammates, we didn't win anything but we sure were exciting at the beginning. Congrats to all the winners. A big CONGRATS to the real winner here Team Anandtech.

BTW What happened at the end DroolMAN!?

Great racing Guys. A Big thanks to DarkMajiq, Soni, and Smokeball for all there work. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and lets get ready to STOMP DSLR 🙂🙂

Great race, it was really close! 😀 The OPQ Troopers really came out of nowhere. Weren't we way behind at the beginning?

I would like to thank DarkMajiq and soni for the stats! 🙂

DM and everyone else providing the stats, THANK YOU!!!

Great race everyone, let's do it again some time!!!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

<< Great race, it was really close! 😀 The OPQ Troopers really came out of nowhere. Weren't we way behind at the beginning? >>

Yeah, we were, but then pretty much everyone on the team upped their production somewhat, and bigwoofer really kicked it into high gear 🙂

Thanks again DarkMajiq, Soni and Smokeball! This was a great format.

I want to congratulate my team: Aiex, cakin, ConfusedBW, JimMc, panhead49, and Wiz. A few of the team had major PC problems and did what it took to get them repaired or replaced. With out that kind of dedication we would not have been able to win! Each and everyone of them was able to produce a little more than they had before.

They may have made fun of our name but all they saw from the start was a Turkey's a$$ and tail feathers!!!😉

Way to go Seti Gobblers!

-Tarca
