Official Happy New Year 2008 Thread

I really wanted to experience the whole First Night events throughout the day, but my girlfriend has to help out her parents' restaurant like a good girl (Chinese take-out's busiest time is NYE).

She'll be here around 10pm with massive Chinese Take-out goodness. We're gonna pig out, drink some beer (my friend got me from Germany for my bday) and then shower to get ready for going out.

I reckon we'll head out to Boston (we live in Cambridge) via T. Check out ice sculptures in the Common and Copley square then head off to the wharf for the midnight fireworks. Scream "Happy NEW YEAR" to everyone WHILE blowing those carnival horns and make lots of loud noise and kiss the lady to start another beautiful year.

Come home, sleep. Tomorrow is an Asian family tradition of having a feast and more drinks with family... it's like Christmas all over again.

Earlier parents got drunk, argued a bit, played shit music...in same room I'm (and my computer is) in.
Now everything is quiet and I am trying to pass time till tomorrow, so I can call and verify 8800GT and PSU order from ZZF (got a letter from "Risk Team").

Playing Eve, Watching some Anime, Reading Manga, Writing a 10 page paper due in 2 days, and I'm only on sentence 3, and Slapping together a Presentation due at midnight.. All at the same time. Life is good.

Sitting in a house with people I hardly know and like. Banished to stay here the whole evening.. friends you say? 900 miles away. Wonderful.
 
went to applebee's with eight other friends. we ended up getting our meals for free, what a way to enjoy our last meal of the 2007. 😀
