Apparently all credits you earn once you reach the max rank will still count towards the next rank when Bungie releases a rank update.

ahhh ok I was like so thats it LT corporal grade 3? So in like 6 months everyone will be that...haha. I was worried.

Holy crap, I'm not moving till I hit that level!

That's good to know, it would suck for the cR hunters like myself to get to Grade 3 and get nothing, glad Bungie has enough foresight to prepare for that.

You unlock new items as you rank up. I know one is Emile's visor when you hit the rank after the current max. Also, they are bringing back the Halo 2 symbols for the last like 8 ranks.

AFAIK neither of those are available at this time, at least they've not been seen (and I've watched more than one "armory reveal" YouTube videos).

The later rank helmets are IIRC (going from memory):

Lt. Col:
JFO
Mark V

Commander:
EVA Emile
Pilot
Commando

Beyond Commander (I saw these in an "unlock" video):
Mark VI
GUNGNIR
Security

That isn't to say they just haven't been shown or won't be added in later though.

I did the Sword Base/Target Locator strategy you guys were talking about yesterday to complete the challenges and it was super easy. I wish I knew about this before, so I could have racked up the credits before they toned it down

Kabob - I was curious to see how much you had done it since you're the highest ranking person on my friends list and you have like 6-7K kills with it!

Even though they toned down the credits earned, I realized what you were talking about when I ranked up quickly just from commendations. I got super bored from doing it after a while though.

Todays Challenges:

Fire When Ready - 300cR
Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking
Just a Shower - 2000cR
Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on.
Heroic Demon - 2000cR
Kill 20 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking on Heroic or harder.
Headshot Honcho - 1100cR
Kill 11 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.

Yeah, I've got a ton of kills with it, I was bored and decided to knock out my Onyx "heavy weapons" and "multikill" commendations and went to town.

Ugh, that's what happened with the last major update. They changed the way the game installs worked, which did make them quite a bit smaller but you had to reinstall everything. Guess they're doing that again *sigh*

Nope doesn't affect anything. You can just go to the game under "My Xbox" and hit Y then select delete game. That, or go into console memory options and delete it.

I hope not because my disc got scratched the day I got it. I had to borrow someone's and install it to my hard drive... What a bunch of crap.

Maybe the final update that they release to everyone will cause this issue. I've gotten probably 4 or so updates since I got the dash update preview, this is the only one that has screwed with the hard drive installs.

I got the same message, but I can tell it's running off the HDD...maybe they optimized the save format for everyone?

Anchor 9 allows 2-8 Players to face off in game variants including Free for All, Team Slayer and Team Objective.

Tempest supports 8 – 16 Players and offers a variety of modes including Free for All, Team Slayer, Team Objective and Big Team Battle. Tempest also provides players with a huge Forge palette, allowing them to create new custom map variants that can be shared with the community-at-large.

Breakpoint offers multiplayer mayhem for 8-16 Players, and supports the Invasion and Big Team Battle game variants.

More Invasion maps needed.

Yeah np, it's much more fun that way too rather than playing alone. I know it's bad when I stay up way later than I should just trying to get challenges for the day.

Wasn't it like that in Halo 3 as well? Eventually, they will make the map pack free. I think this happens after the next one is released. However, if they limit the playlists and force you to get the new maps, I will be mad.
