Gamer's Pouch Halo 2 clan. Go here to let us know you want in. We're not a formal clan, so don't expect regulated practices, multiple tournament entries, and whatever else hardcore clans do. Microsoft says it's good to play together, and that's what we're trying to do.

REVIEWS
IGN Review - 9.8 - IGN review link.
Gamespot Review - 9.4 - Gamespot review link. - The Gamespot review looks like it contains a very slight spoiler with no details. Not sure if they meant to do this, but if you don't want to know anything at all, you may want to skip this review.
Gamespy Review - 5 out of 5 - Gamespy review link.
1up.com Review - 1up.com review link.
EGM Review - 3 reviewers each give it a 10 out of 10. Nice scores from EGM, as 10's are hard to come by. Oddly enough, it wasn't the only game this month to get all 10's, and 2 more games got atleast one 10 as well.......
Snippets from their review copied by yours truely:
- Halo 2 overcomes its greatest challenge by topping the only first-person shooter that really comes close to challenging it: the original Halo.
- Unfortunately, one of Halo 2's biggest strengths is what I'm allowed to talk about the least: the plot. (One awesome surprise in particular will change the way you think about the entire series.)
- .....gigantic, open environments and massive structures that will take your breath away with their sheer scale.......
- ....it's the jaw-dropping "Oh my god" moments in Halo 2 that make it so killer. From the huge gameplay twist early on, to taking down a giant walking tank, to way late in the game when you team up with certain...teammates, all the way to an end that'll leave you with the same breathless feeling you had when you first watched The Empire Strikes Back.....
They did mention a couple of minor tidbits about the parts of the second half of the game slightly dragging on, and a couple of moments of deja vu, but that's it. They divided the review into single-player and multi-player, with another section devoted to online match types and such. Just a great review.

In the vein of Warcrow's official threads, let this serve as the official Halo 2 thread. Later this afternoon, I will be posting links to the reviews, as many major sites are competing to have their review out first today. On the agenda is no less than IGN, Gamespot, and Gamespy, all releasing around noon or shortly thereafter, depending on what timezone you live in.
I also just got my newest EGM in last night, but haven't had time to read it. I will be posting snippets from that review in a couple hours as well.
So who is getting the game at midnight Monday night?
