So am I gonna have to wait for 12 pacific to play or is it timed to release earlier for easterners. I could be playing for hours befor 11 pacific.

how about those of you that get to stay up late tonight make only comments on gameplay and such and not spoil anything for those of us that have to work the next day. I'll probably only have time to watch the opening sequence and play very little because i need to sleep by 12:30...

If you think IRC is complicated, wait till you try to install a floppy drive sometime. :p The reason why I dont and can't use IRC is because the corporate firewalls block its ports. I will be working until 11:45pm, so I'll get off just in time to run home and play it! But if thats too compicated for you to understand, its cool. :p ;)

well that would be different then. :) i have no problems with irc, but apparently others can't figure it out. so i guess convo via forums it shall be.

Reviews look a bit disappointing so far, but nothing like doom 3 in terms of letdown. Both reviews above complained a bit about the AI, but neither site complained about the halo 2 AI, which is quite bad in places. Not sure what to make of that. It could be that they expect more from a half life game - I hope that's what it is.

I went to the halo 2 release party and it was a complete waste of time. If the HL2 party is anything like that, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it (are you all amazed at my clever wordplay?)

I'm going to go ahead and trust that review from PC Games and GameStar. They were both good reviews and I usually agree with them.

it doesn't matter what the reviews say. most if not all of us here already bought the game and waiting for the clock to strike 12:00.

Yeah, I won't be reading reviews or even visiting this forum until I've finished the game. I like to play a game without other people's criticism kicking around in the back of my mind.

bah, i'm still stuck on the 4.10 as modified by omega.

i'd go for the 4.12's but cba uninstalling all the extras like multires and radlinker with my overclock on it.
