While the GTX 560 seems to be a good card, overclocks well...and apparently can outrun a "factory oc'd" GTX570....but not a user "oc'd" 570 which can go higher than factory....it seems to be a great card.

However....Are we now going to hear about how good of a value the GTX 560 is for the next six months ? j.k

lol well the GTX 570 is still gonna be the best value gfx card out there even after the 560 is out IMO

I do not agree with that. If the 560 offers 75-80% of the performance (stock to stock) of the 570 and remains $250 versus $350 I think the 560 is the better deal at that point, but perhaps only slightly. I fully expect most of the 560's to hit 1,000Mhz core and while it can be argued that the 570 can be overclocked as well, I think they may end up having less head-room. I have never had much lucky overclocking a high-end part. They seem to be ok in some synthetic tests, but then you actually play a variety of games and start seeing some odd things. Anyway, I think the 560 will be solid.

The MSRP on the card is virtually irrelevant anyway - supply and demand will price it just like it has done with other cards.

Look at the price of the GTX 470 - it's now the designated ex-girlfriend no-one wants and can be had for around $200!

The 500 series is really shaping up to be an awesome series actually - unfortunately for AMD, Nvidia still wins when all things are otherwise equal (price and benchmarks) because of PhysX and game coding.

Woe to the AMD 6000 series - it just doesn't have the magic.

Nvidia wins this round, for a change.

No, Nvidia did not win this round. And neither did AMD. Noone did yet. Because so far there is no reviews comparing a GTX560 / 6950 yet. The 6950 1 gig is $254 at Newegg.

Hold your thoughts for now till the reviews are up.

^ I thought the same thing Skurg 😉

I have a sure winner, us guys, the buyers, it looks like a price war is brewing guys.
Hooooray! 🙂

I see the 6950 1gb is just 18$ more shipped then the evga gtx560 at mwave.

Yep. You are EXACTLY right. We the "consumers" are the winners.

However, The only NV cards I buy is EVGA or ASUS. And the only AMD cards I buy is XFX / ASUS / Gigabyte.

Wonder when Newegg will add the other models ?

wonder what time they will start listing these cards besides mwave. I doubt there will much difference between etailers price wise

Well this is disappointing. I was thinking the NDA would lift at midnight EST. Apparently not. Since it's almost 1:00 EST; it probably going to be sometime tomorrow I'm guessing.

Keep an eye out for us Happy!
