Might as well make this the official thread since there is alot of discussion on here anyways.

Anyways, I've caved in and bought the game, heh. Yea, I know I said I would not but WTF! Anyways, I've played it for about 1 hour and I think its great. I'll post more later with a smalll review.

Apparently this has been leaked onto the web (hrm, on purpose?). It shows all three cities and the areas in-between. Much much bigger than VC, would'nt ya say?

That does look huge. They improved alot in thsi game. I don't have a PS2 though. I will ahve to get it for PC or xbox
 
Holy cow. I've never even played any of the GTA series games but that map looks huge no matter what game it is...
 
3 days? Should hit gaming stores on Tuesday, as it ships tomorrow. Unfortunately, I need to call tomorrow and cancel my pre-order, as I don't feel like I have nearly enough time right now to devote to this game. I remember playing Vice City for a solid 2 weeks after I bought it, putting a good 40 or 50 hours into it. There are too many games coming out that I want to play, so I've decided to put San Andreas off until early next year.
 
I can't wait for this to come out on PC. I have access to a PS2 while my brother's at school but from what I've seen of the previous games, I want to wait for SA to appear on the PC. I guess I can wait that long 🙁

Rockstar games signed a exclusive contract with Sony...

They delayed other ports for a year before being allowed to release them.

I've played on the PS2 for the other 3 games, and have played on the PC. Not a big deal.... I like it on the PS2 better personally. (played it on the computer, too)

Do what I'll do. Buy it for PS2, warez it for PC. I don't considure it stealing when you already own the freaking game! You already paid for it legitamentaly.

After all the advantage the PC has is that you have mods....
 
Meh, I have seen what GTA3 and VC looked like on a PS2. Nothing compared to my x800pro and Trinitron. I'll wait. I estimate May 2005 for the PC version. 🙁

Edit: Thanks warcrow for the map, that's friggin' huge!! Looks like fun.
 
I'm not really sure if I want to play GTA:SA, simply because there are too many other games that need my attention and I'm a bit tired of the GTA formula. I like having a set path and vision. Free Roaming isnt quite as innovative it was when GTA3 game out.

Sometimes I don't give a sh1t about what the law has to say about some subjects. The law does not and cannot dictate ethics.

It's not like I didn't pay for the game, what makes me morally obligated to pay for the same game twice simply because I want to play it on 2 slightly different formats?
