The best solution I found for that is to just sleep which will advance time 6 hours.

If I park a car in my save spot, then if I load the game, take the car and go on a mission - will the car be back in my spot or do I need to get a new car?

You mean, will the car reappear? I haven't tried it in IV, but my guess is if you didn't put it back it's not going to magically reappear.

Well, I finished up the main storyline earlier this evening and several of the side missions. I'm at about 75% completion and haven't started on the ramps, birds or police car missions. Nothing really stands out with the story. If some of you are complaining about the difficulty of Three Leaf Clover, just wait until later when you do Out of Commision. I didn't find any of the missions or overall gameplay difficult. Some of them were just frustrating due to the clunky controls and stiff fighting mechanism. But, of course, I just spent the last four weeks playing through COD2 and COD3 on veteran. 😉

While cruising around the city, one thing stands out; there's a lot of real estate and properties that seems to have been rendered and included in the overall map, but not touched while playing through the storyline or side missions. I'm wondering if some of these will be used with the forthcoming DLC. For instance, the prison. There's an entire prison complex, but not one mission is done there. There's also a putt-putt course at Firefly Island. Maybe Rockstar will activate it for a fifth mini-game. And of course the rest of Firefly Island is dark and inoperable. Also, what's the point in putting in the large airport if you can't use it? Maybe Rockstar is going to add airplanes and skydiving back into the game as DLC. I would really enjoy that, but I don't know how I'll feel having to pay for a big, fun part of a game that made GTA:SA so entertaining, but was left out of GTA IV...possibly purposefully.

I'm on the last isle so I'm curious about something and have a question for you regarding the story:

Using ROT13 to cypher/decypher since these forums dont have a spoiler text option:

V guvax V'z nyzbfg qbar jvgu gur favcre/uvgzna zvffvbaf lbh trg sebz gur cnlcubar sbe V whfg svavfurq hc gur thlf arne gur pubccre. Nyfb, V whfg svavfurq hc gur urebva zvffvba sbe Enl (jrqqvat cerfrag).

So with that--about how much farther do I need to go to finish up the main storyline? I have about 13 more games to get to. 😛 You might want to use ROT13 to answer back BTW.

I saw your other thread about the rot13 site, but I'm not jumping through the virtual hoops to use it.

To answer your plain text question, if you go to the Stats page look at the 'Missions passed' stat. There are between 85 and 90 missions in the main storyline. That should help you figure out how far along you are.

Just played the Three Leaf Clover mission that you guys were talking about earlier, and I didn't have any problems with it...passed it on the first try. I only lost a fraction of my armor in the whole thing also, so I never was in danger of dying. It was one of the more fun missions, though. And about the comments about the high school football line, it was incredibly out of place and a retarded piece of writing. 🙂

I must be going slow, but I just played "No. 1" with Brucie and his sports car. I've tried it 5 times so far and just gave up because its frustrating. I'll try again another time I guess... but I wish they didnt make racing mandatory. I pulled out my Uzi and tried to take down the other cars, but they stopped the race. 🙁

Haha, yeah my first try I was shooting up all the competitors but then learned the hard way that that kind of behavior is a no-no. 🙁

I just completed the dump truck mission for Ray, and couldn't help but notice that the graphics for the "cutscenes" looked significantly downgraded, like all of a sudden I was playing this on PS2 or something. What gives? Too many characters on screen?

I keep getting rammed and spinning out. The first race, I went up a hill that flatened out too fast, went slightly airborne, then got hit mid air, wacked out physics took over and I flipped into a tree and a rock... took forever to get back into the race so I lost that one. All the other races, when I get going well, I turn a corner, get bumped and spin out and can never regain...

🙁

Concentrate on overtaking everyone at or just after the grid, then forget about the other cars and drive neatly. They should be nowhere near you fairly quickly.

Alright, I'll give that a shot, thanks for the advice 🙂

Your post was the 1337 post in this thread btw.

Grr... I hate racing and suck at it bad. Luckily, the first race only took me 3 or 4 tries. The other cars really don't go that fast, the best way to win really is to "drive neatly". Break before entering a corner, floor it on straight portions and pray you don't get T-boned at corners. If you do that, you should be miles ahead of the pack after the first few turns.

That or break out your uzi. I tried it, but couldn't hit anything important without losing control of the car.

no it doesnt reappear.

However, if you park a good car there, usually you'll find an awful lot of the cars driving/parked around will be the same car. Works even with rare cars like the Sultan SR Warcrow was referring to - staying ahead of the Joneses' isn't easy in Liberty City! However it works best when you first "load" the area, i.e. when you come out of the safehouse. If you go there, drive around the block and come back it tends not to work nearly as well.

any help with this?

Other than weapons or armor? Just food, clothes, and the requisite costs for getting out of the hospital/jail. By the time you're 75% through the storyline, you should have a total of 3 or 4 safehouses given to you.

There should be a large and small text size. Highlight the text size and hit the A button, if you're on an Xbox.

On the website that shows all the locations, what is the point of the perverts? I've gone to a few of the locations and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary.

i think those are supposed to be places where you can find hookers at night, but i could be mistaken.

on a completely unrelated note, i don't think this game is a 10/10. don't get me wrong, it's amazing, and i've had fun playing it, but it just feels like they took away some of the fun things from san andreas and watered down other things. the storyline/character are phenomenal, though.

WTF? On my second try, I started shooting at the cars while driving and I didn't get disqualified. 😕
