I heard that the two systems won't have crossover compatibility online, so we might end up with two distinct groups. If I can get my PS3 online, and it's always a bit of a crapshoot, I'd be down for some AT MP glory.

Incidentally, I've requested the 29th off. I'm picking up GTA at midnight, and I don't intend to work when I could be wasting my life in front of a giant TV.

heh... GTA IV advertising was pulled in Chicago. All of the advertisements on buses, and subway stations (and everywhere else) were pulled because FOX linked it to a recent SURGE in violence during the last couple of days/weeks.

Go figure...

Thats like saying: Television causes violence, Youtube causes violence, the internet causes violence in general, games cause violence...How stupid, and unfounded is that crap. Not to mention, the pull the advertising BEFORE its released, you'd think people would have to actually play it to become violent... if that stupid accusation was actually even true.

I just called the GS where I reserved my copy and they're doing a midnight launch. The guy told me that the line starts at 10PM and they're going to take people up the register before hand for trade-ins and for payment so that at 12AM--they just hand off the copy.

That's a really good idea. I've actually never heard of GS doing something like that. Am I just late to the party on this or what (I dont do these things very often).

Midnight launch? That's ridiculous. Once it's released people will have the rest of their lives to play the game no need to get it at midnight. What's an extra 8 hours compared to the rest of your life.
