I got my second system up and running. I'll put the IP up here tomorrow (wednesday). Heres the specs:
Dual celeron 366@550
ABIT BP6
128 megs o ram
matrox millenium video
10/100 NIC
250 watt psu
WD 3.2gb hard drive.
10 megabit connection

I tried it out today with a light load and got pings of 15 at 2% cpu usage :-]
It *should* be up 24/7 unless it makes too much noise at night.

I just want to apologize to eceryone for my crappy ping tonight. I called my cable modem provider and they told me they are having probs with the AT&amp;T backbone and the problem will persist for prob. another 2 weeks:(

I am calling customer service tommorow and bitching!

Make sure there isn't a lot of people on your node, too; that can cause serious problems ...

It's the cable provider, it's been getting worse and worse. I just got a straight answer this time. usually I get &quot;umm...nope no problems here, must be your PC.&quot; I think I can get most of this months cost for the cable modem back if i bitch enought tommorow:D

Funny, when u come in, BlackFlagg...your ping was like 600-700 while others were only 100-150 ping.

I enjoyed killing u. Come on in anytime, BlackFlagg. :cool:
