The Twins have been awesome this year. We already have the batting champion and will most likely have a Cy Young winner in Santana. Now if Morneau can get MVP, all that's left is a world series baby!!!!!

I'll be at the game tomorrow..I'm heading downtown straight from my investments exam.

Why not make your own *GO TWINS* Thread?

GO A's!!!! The Twinks are gonna be TOUGH (I wanted us to play the Tigers instead) but...now it's the playoffs, anything can happen.

Were you at the game? I was - it was incredible.

It's too early to be celebrating (a 1-0 series lead). Barry Zito was a poor man's Johan Santana toady. ;) I'd like to see Loaiza go out tomorrow and have a strong outing.

Makes you wonder about Chicago White Sox GM Kenny Williams publicly blasting Frank Thomas as a prima donna, before the season started.

Yea but we took 1 game from them at their house. that's a great start for the A's.

I never though Frank Thomas seemed like a bad guy or a troublemaker, he always played hard for the Sox. I like that he redeemed his career and may make a case for MVP depending how deep this season goes for his team.

Me neither, maybe Williams was upset if an aging Frank Thomas demanded star treatment in the clubhouse. But as the best hitter of the 1990s not named Ken Griffey Jr. (or attached to any of the late 90s steroids crowd), Thomas arguably deserved star treatment. It also shows class that Thomas didn't jump into the fray with a response to start a war of words.

Don't get me wrong, guys. I'm very happy with game 1. But I'm not celebrating until the A's win a closing game. :)

I think it also came down to them not offering him a contract (IE option to retire with the team).

A's up by 2 runs. Loaiza has put together a find season and is pitching well today.

What did that hothead Bradley do??? Another spat with someone?? I missed it..
