I've had gmail for around 4 days...still don't have an invite to give out. wtf?

Should I be sending a lot of mail or is it just random and google hates me? 😉

I dont think I caught the relevance between my # of post..and my searching the web the past couple of months for a gmail invite..

is there actually a required # im supposed to have?..if so I was not aware

Haha, that's pretty funny. You're kidding, right?

You don't automatically get invites immediately after signing up. The whole purpose is to let users thoroughly evaluate gmail, and then invite friends *if* they feel as though it's a decent service. You can't very well recommend something you haven't had time to evaluate yet yourself.

As for me, it took nearly two months to receive my first invite. Of course, I think most of that was during a dry period in which Google wasn't giving any out at all, so yours may arrive a little sooner, i.e. within a month. 🙂
 
I just did realize that I had 4 invites. Don't know how long I had them, but I just now noticed them.

BTW, does anyone know how to change your "reply to all" settings so that when you reply to all it puts everyone in the "To:" line instead of the "Cc:" line. I don't like that.
 
I got my invite from an ATOT member, and as such I will give back to the community that makes my workdays go so much faster. You three - FishTaco, Applebottomed Gurl, and eber - shall receive three of my 4 invites. My fourth is already gone, so I can't help you there.

The e-mails should be sent already. Applebottom, I especially feel bad for you. Looks like you've been looking for awhile.

10. You have at least 8 different windows open right now to various forums that have gmail listings
9. Your fingers hurt from pressing the refresh button so many times
8. ADD can't be far off when you can't concentrate on your work that you have to check back for invitations every five minutes
