Man, I just got gmail. It's terrible. How do you people like this interface? That grouping by "conversation" thing is probably the reason I will never use it ever again.

it's just a matter of preference, i guess. i like it a lot. it's very handy when you're using it for mailing lists, in which case you don't really care about each particular post but rather look at it as a conversation thread based by subject. and the reply box that shows up somewhat resembles a quick reply in a web forum (like what's down at the bottom of this screen, if you enabled it).

i think it's a great thing that it's different, so it's not like everybody will switch over and saturate the bandwidth, but rather let people who don't like it just stay with yahoo and hotmail, and people who love it can switch over and use it. it's a win win situation to us as a users. choice is good, choices with something different to offer is even better.

I really like that interface... It makes email conversations so easy to track...
