Awww... what about someone who had an account in 2001, but stopped going to ATOT after graduating college... tried to login last week to find out all hotmail accounts were blocked... and then just recreated an account today?!... LOL...

That is just plain sillyness.... isn't gmail supposed to be publicly offered sooner or later??

it will be offered publicly ..but i dont think that in the coming 2 weeks we can expect this to happen..this is because they have quite a few things to correct before they proceed. GMail is still having trouble with Mozilla browsers and with people who dont want a java version(currently GMail is only loading on machines that have a java VM or Sun Java)
these are just 2 examples from a list to be fixed.
