this is wierd.
when i click on an email in my gmail account. it just goes from being unread (bold) to read. but doesn't open the e-mail, and stays in the inbox. how do i open a received e-mail?

You have to wait until GMail gives you invites to send out. Not sure how long it takes, just got my GMail this morning.
 
i stopped looking for a couple days, then i noticed it. you'll have a big "Click here to Invite your friends to GMail" under your search button.

OK, got 2 left. Advertised to all my friends, and no one wants any more. So ATOT gets my leftovers. First 2 email addresses posted here (don't PM) gets them.
 
After 5 days or so, you'll see a red link that says "Invite your friends". Click that link, and a form will open asking for their email address.
