I've had an account for a few weeks now - not getting any invites whatsoever. Would that have something to do with the fact that im actually using it?

i doubt the real thing is coming sometime soon. they have quite some cleaning up to do. its not bad so far.

i really hope they stopped the invites. this way i can ebay my 10 invites.. oh wait. can't ebay anymore🙂

Gmail's definitely chugging along on life support tonight. I've been getting that lame "Ooops . . . the system was unable to perform your operation. Please try again in a few seconds" error constantly as well as issues logging in. The system definitely has some bugs to work out. These errors and sluggish response have been more common the last couple weeks from my perspective.

they are absolutely in the growing pains phase. it's a good thing they stopped giving invites.

one thing that i noticed was usually if i keep the browser window opened, it will refresh every few minutes so i can see the latest e-mail without having to refresh the screen manually. now it is not the case anymore.

I don't think they give them out anymore...

I've been using my account like crazy for the last two weeks and they only sent me one in the first couple of days. I'm guessing that they probably do it in spurts. When I get another one I'll definately give it away here.

The auto-refresh thing still works for my gmail. So it might be a network problem of sorts on your end. But I agree that Google has some real polishing to do.
