I love Shokey. He's awesome.

Loses his helmet and he's still lowering his shoulder fighting for yards.
Yeah, and he loves to trash talk. You'd think the Eagle's D players would hate him, but to a man, they say he's one player who can say what he wants, he backs it up on the field. They really respect him as a player.

Sad, so THIS is Eli's game right now, just float it up in the general area where either Burress or Shockey is and hope their height wins out?

Weak.

There is nothing more dangerous than a veteran QB allowed to get in rhythm!

Runyon! He's never felt the whistle is any reason not to hit a guy! 😛

ThePresence was calling Dawkins dirty, which is simply not true, but Jon Runyon has had a dirty ol' mean streak his whole career -- pre-season, practice, it doesn't matter, if he has a chance to hit you, he will.

I think the second one wasn't so cheap, the other guy was coming up to get in his face, probably to do the same to him.

You're saying 5'11 180 Sam Madison is going to knock down that jumbo jet?

Tell you what, though, for a big supposedly slow, dirty, "dumb" white boy he actually knows his craft. He played a magnificent technical game against Julius Peppers. Pepper usually gets double teamed, the Eagles gave Runyon no help, let go at Peppers one-on-one, and he shut him out.

And, Runyon, when I've heard him talk, has said nothing but calm, considered, intelligent and insightful things about the game.

But, yep, he plays dirty -- always has.

If he didn't want a fight he shouldn't pick one. He was the one that came right up in Runyons face.

I don't know much about the guy. But he's freakin' huge. And he's got a "I'm gonna tear your head off" look to him. What's his position? Guard?

-edit-
And this game is getting physical. Both sides really hitting hard.

LOL at that shot of Garcia preaching the word to his O-line on the sidelines!

just out of curiousity, why wasn't there a penalty for the NY Giant player for taking off his helmet? (is there anything about being injured that will allow you to remove your helmet?)..

edit to avoid confusion as this was not the play where Shockey's helmet was knocked off): not sure who the player was, but it was a defensive player who just made a tackle and then turned over on his side in pain...after turned over on his side, he removed his helmet...

Probably, or possibly because it's an "injury timeout".

Although I don't know the specifics of the clock and an injury timeout. Or who calls it. Probably head referee.
