It ROCKED!!! I gotta watch it again!!

So many good and memorable parts... the battle just goes way too fast for you to see everything once...

If you guys thought the first movie left you hanging, the second movie almost leaves you hanging even more. Just a small warning...

If I remember correctly Aragorn called them nazgul when he found out they were riding on the beasts? I think your right the things they ride on aren't called nazgul but they are referred to them as that when they are flying.

They were called Nazgul even in the first movie. The Ringwraiths are the Nazgul, no matter are they walking, on horses or flying.

They have a lot to finish in the last movie.
Is it done yet?

I believe they finished all three movies back to back and decided to release them one per year for three years.

We saw the 11:58pm showing last night. Our Cinemas had 11:58pm and 11:59pm showings for some strange reason.. weird.
But any rate, I really liked TTT, probably better than the FOTR. I can't wait for the extended version out next fall 😉

OK I sorta read a spoiler about Faramir and now I'm forcing myself to stop reading about this movie till I see it tomorrow.

Considering the first one sucked large quantities of arse, I'm going to have to go w/ no on that one.

Of course, I'm not a "fanboy", so I shouldn't say anything.

It's going to be Gangs of New York for me this weekend!!

I am a big Tolkien fan and I LOVED the first movie with very few complaints but this new one left me with mixed feelings overall. They made too many plot changes for one. Even tho I understand that they have to make adjustments to squeeze everything into 3 hours, I felt that the plot changes they made added about an hour to the movie that could have been used for what they left out! There was too much Helm's Deep and not enough Fangorn for my taste.
Also, the special effects during the ents attack on Isenguard looked really fake. The flood water looked real, but the panoramic shot of the ents walking in the water looked like little stick models which was a shame. The director should have kept the camera point of view on the ground looking UP at the ents so that they always seem huge like trees.
Still, the director did a fantastic job on such a vast project as this and I shouldn't be so picky, but I am a fanatic, so I can't help it.

BTW, Gollum was fantastic and worth the price of admission all by himself (my precious).

The only thing I didn't like was that there seemed to be way more than 10,000 Orcs who attacked Helm's Deep. It seemed more like 1,000,000 to me.

And when Eomer showed up with Gandalf, it seemed like he had 20,000 men instead of the 2,000 he was supposed to have.
