I think this show is overblown and overrated. I got into it early but Turtle became too much of an aggravating fat peice of Yankee merchandise wearing shit, and everyone but Arie just kept getting on my nerves so I gave up on it. The acting is tired and over-the-top at times, and some of the things that came up were just ridiculous to me even for an HBO series.

completely disagree. yes, ari makes the show, but i think everyone else in the cast compliments each other perfectly. if you took out one element of the show and changed it, it'd be ruined and wouldn't be as awesome as it is.

to say it's overrated/overblown is ridiculous to me.

I'm not talking about how the elements compliment each other and that aspect, for this kind of a series I would expect characters like these. I just think the main actors overplay their roles in many scenes and that many people like it simply because it has hot people of both sexes, little to no censorship by HBO, and much of it takes places in beautiful locations with perfect weather and perfect situations with the best of the best of the best... like I mentioned in my first post, the show is just too ridiculous for me, that's all.

Actually, it is a great show. I wasn't turned on to it until mid to late 2nd season, but I quickly caught up and I have been dying for more. It starts just in time, with the ending of Sopranos last night...Entourage + World Cup - Chemo = An all right summer

why should hbo censor it?

and that's pretty much what celeb life is like. this series started off based on the life of mark wahlberg.

Not the best show TV, but definately my favorite show of ALL TIME!

It definately is like sex and the city for guys, but so much better.

I cannot wait until next weekend when the next season starts!

i have to agree with some of these posts. The acting is horrible compared to something like The Sopranos. Ari is great, but Eric is the guy that I think doesn't really fit in sometimes. When they paired him up with Sloan, I thought that was one of the most awkward couples I've ever seen, just based on appearance. Eric's a short, innocent white kid type of thing, Sloan was a beautiful foreigner type, it just looked wrong. I'm only being so critical because this is my favorite show, and I can see why it's appealing to many, but I can also see why it's not. Keep in mind though, that this IS a story about hollywood, and a lot of stuff is supposed to be over the top and not believable for us "common folk".

I don't know if you are comparing Sopranos and Entourage, but if you are...look at Christopher in Sopranos, he has a unibrow yet he manages to bang some of the hottest girls...and Tony...yea he's a real good lookin guy . The reason is money, power, respect and you get the women. In both scenarios, it kind of works.

haha, yeah that's true. But there's quite a different in terms of class when it comes to the girls that these guys are banging on these shows. Picking up the new girl at Bada Bing isn't really the same as screwing around with perfect 10 models.

I love the show. I wasn't sure if my girlfriend would like it, but she watched the entire first season on DVD in one night. I gave her season 2 yesterday, and she finished that off last night. She stayed up until 3am to finish it.
