Oh no, what are we going to do without the Republicans starting unnecessary wars or the Democrats starting unaffordable social welfare programs.

I didn't say it was necessarily bad, but we have gridlock ahead and the (R)'s will keep their obstructionism up.

I'm just waiting to see who wins the greater percentage of votes, Alvin Greene, or Alan Grayson! My money's on Greene 😀

As for the rest, I'll just get some sleep, check back in a week when hopefully the lawyers are done with their bitching 😛

Though Jim DeMint (R) is the winner in SC, is anyone surprised that Alvin Greene (D) was able to pull in 31% of the vote there?

I'm guessing there is a lot of truth in that old saying, "Southern Democrats will vote for a yellow dog before they would vote for any Republican".

While I could not bring myself to vote for Candidate Greene, I can understand how some here would vote for a benign imbecile over a malignant one.

Two term Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln has become the first Senate Democratic incumbent to fall in today's election. The winner is Rep. John Boozman.

So goes one of the authors of Obamacare. 😎

Kudos to her for doing what's right for America instead of what's politically expedient.

She was one of the reasons why the public option was removed. Good riddance.

South Carolina voters continue to deliver and are projected to send Republican Tim Scott to Congress, the first African American Republican member of the House since J.C. Watts was elected in 1994 and retired in 2003!

IIRC, the first black Republican from a former Confederate state since Reconstruction.

Not a result but an educated prediction from Colorado.

For Senate Bennet (D) retains his seat against Tea Party (R) Buck.

For Governor, Hickenlooper (D) wins, against (I) Tancredo.

Both Pelosi and Van Hollen have come out with statements that they believe the Democrats will continue to hold the House. 😵

LOL!

From POLITICO -

09:16 PM TECHNICALLY NOT OVER: Despite losses on the East Coast, DCCC chief Chris Van Hollen says he is "confident" that his party will keep control of the House. He also is criticizing NBC News for saying the GOP has taken the chamber, saying: "That's a mistake. It's way too early."

Exit polling from CNN suggests some of the polling suggesting this race was close was simply badly flawed.

While Hickenlooper has only a 3 percent margin among men, he has a 27% margin among women in the exit polling. (Very early results actually have him 26% ahead.)
