The early returns have to have McCain feeling very optimistic.
Yes, McCain may have avoided an overwhelming defeat of once in a half century.
But, if you look at the counties and how they voted, Obama is doing way, way better than Kerry in the counties Bush won in 2004. Add in the extra turnout in the Democratic county wins for Kerry, of which almost none have reported in yet, it definitely shows McCain is gonna lose and lose big.

Seems like returns are slower than past years. Might be because or turnout.

I think Indiana is the most interesting state so far. Indianapolis returns are starting to come in now.

Not enough info in VA yet.

Even if Obama wins, I'm still very proud that so many people are voting this year.

We should move to Internet voting =[

Heh I am sure the left would love that considering their track record with online polls in the past.

If we had web voting it would be

Obama 92% to McCain 8% with 1.2 billion votes cast.

I was really hoping to kill the last half hour of my work day looking at some east coast results, but I guess that was overly optimistic on my part. I'm sure looking forward to some Stewart/Colbert coverage...

I am watching CBS. The analyst claimed Kerry only got 87% of the black vote in North Carolina? Is that true? Seems way too low. Obama is getting 97%.

wtf? Calling SC for McCain, Obama has 55% of the tallied votes so far there??!
Maybe it's just time to go watch a movie and read about it tomorrow.

SC is safe GOP guys.

Don't be surprised if networks declare safe states for either candidate.

Don't blow a gasket if Fox calls UT for McCain with 0% in 🙂

Haha, CNN follows suit just 5 minutes later. Must have been feeling the pressure.

CNN has the correct results for Pasco.

No results from Lake in IN yet.

And you wont get them until they know how many votes they need to "deliver," which they did in the primaries. Lake County rivals Detroit for corruption... and I say that as a resident of the state.
