What's the recount law for NC? I think there will be one there.

Otherwise, IN and MO seem almost certain to go blue. MT will stay red.

Looks like I lose the electoral vote pool, it'll go bigger than I expected. Might be 375-163. I won't call it a landslide, but certainly a decisive victory.

I was in Hell for 8 years under you and your kind rule.

The country was and we are looking forward to rebuilding this country so severly damaged by you and your supporters.

We have work to do and clearly you won't be part of it.

The door is free for you to leave.

Unless someone elected you a new brain your next 8 years are going to be just as miserable as the last 8.

Maybe he thinks he's going to get a presidential pardon for his crimes?

One of the worst Obama speeches I have heard. I was expecting one of the greatest speeches ever. Instead we get boring personal story crap.

You can leave and never hear him again. Please do. Thank you

So much for spreading the word about uniting us.

No way

Republicans and their supporters do not deserve this country.

Dave, go to hell. Okay? Just go to hell.

/facepalm

I voted for Obama, moron. And supported him for the past 12 fsckin months.

You're out of line. As usual. This is a positive moment for Democrats and you're ruining it with your lack of class. Once again, as usual.

Someone calls you a troll, so you call them a troll. Perfectly ok.
You call someone a troll, and someone calls you a troll. That person isn't bright.

Some of the state totals are amazingly close.

Right now:
NC 14,000 votes apart 50/50
IN 15,000 vote apart 50/49
MO 35,000 votes 50/49
For states that McCain should have won by 10-20 points, he's losing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Actually Indiana and North Carolina are at like 99.9% reporting and Obama leads in both.....at minimum he gets 364EV. He's still leading in Montana by a smidgen. And he's down in Missouri but I think it's fair enough to say Obama got at least 364 EV.

The networks probably can't even call those races since the number of absentee ballots exceeds the margin of victory. So the actual totals won't be known for a few days.

True but at I'm guessing at this point they'll hold for Obama.

Well we can't bash black people anymore so guess what?

I live in NC and most people in this county voted Obama, but we are a poor county.
I found it interesting that the counties with large populations/large cities went with McCain.

Oh, I'm quite happy and contented, thank-you very much, even though stupid people and trolls trying to down this historic moment in our nation's history do annoy me.

And, fyi, I'm not a Democrat. 😉

It was the opposite here in FL. The big population centers went blue, while most of the rural areas went red.

Didn't say you were, but you do seem to be enjoying Obama's victory tonight and you constantly rail against Bush. So I made a few assumptions about your mood! Be happy tonight and let it show! You can go back to being crotchety tomorrow 😉

I agree. One of the great failings and criticisms of the liberal enlightenment democratic movement against monarchy and colonialism, of which America was the first nation to experiment (and still the most successful), has been that it caused a resurgence and escalation of nationalism, oppression of minorities, and ethnic violence. And yet today, America is the first democracy in all of history to elect an ethnic minority to be head of state.

Today, America showed the world that democracy, governed by the rule of law, not only still works, but is still the greatest form of government ever conceived.

Why must the racist USA continue to perpetuate the anachronistic one-drop-rule?

WTF?? What rule, where is it written in the books?
If anything, if you have a hint of black blood you can still be classified as a minority, with all the benefits such as preference in admissions, hiring, sympathy from the media even if you're not poor, inner-city. So keep crying over nothing.

Yeah gotta love Affirmative Action! Blacks are SO LUCKY to only get the opportunity at 2 or 3 out of every 100 positions. I know as a White man who has the preference for the other 98 10/10 times I'm fucking MAD AS HELL ABOUT THIS! Why should they be guaranteed 3% of the jobs and I only be guaranteed 97%, it's B.S. I want 100% of the jobs to go to only white people.

mmmmmmmm OT, still whining.

I was surprised Obama got cumberland county, that is where Ft. Bragg is and McCain did a lot of campaining here. McCain did get onlsow county though and that is where Camp Lejune Marine base is located.
McCain was really pushing the military angle when he was here.

Congrats America, you did good.
