Ben Wallace reminds me of Jayson Williams. Can you imagine how good the nets would be with him at Center?

FVCK. FVCK, FVCK, FVCK.

Kidd down with a hurt ankle on a rebound no less

and why the fvck was detroit fouling on a rebound he had CLEARLY beat them too. OMFG. This STINKS.

stepping underneath a player in the air like wallace did should be a flagrant foul. he had NO reason to do it. it was just a dirty play.

well, we'll soon get to see which player, duncan or kidd, deserves to be the mvp of the season. 🙂

i don't think it's been argued that kidd deserved it over duncan this season but last season Kidd was CLEARLY the more important player to their respective teams.

btw, i hope Kidd doesn't leave NJ. it'd be stupid for him to do so, IMO. i remember hearing that winning a championship is a big factor for him. why would he jump ship when NJ is such a young team with a legit chance at winning it all? i think he'll stay, but if he does leave, it'd be a pity.

What can you say, Jason Kidd is just a tremendous player. I hope he becomes another John Stockton in terms of quality of play over a long period of time. I would love to see Jason Kidd play healthy for the next 10 years.

agreed, in my opinion NJ is the CLEAR favorite in the Kidd Lottery.

Basically NJ is KIDD'S team Spurs is Duncans team. i think kidd will choose to stay because Rod Thorn and the Nets are commited to winning it all.

i love how his running and passing has become infectious to the Nets. definitely reminds me of how when Magic played, everyone was looking for a lane on the break.

despite the incident with his wife (which in my opinion is resolved and won't happen again) Kidd is good for the league.

if there's one player that i hope kids today emulate on the court, it's Kidd. too many kids are practicing Iverson-palm-the-ball-crossovers, when they don't know how to throw a bounce pass. 🙁

From what I read, the incident with his wife really was just a onetime screw-up, but a very big one that will stay with him the rest of his career. I think the incident was a combination of many things, probably his frustration with the Suns (among other things I naturally wouldn't know about).

EDIT: It seems like Kidd just screwed up, and isn't a wife beater like some dorks around here are claiming.

the only thing that made me roll my eyes was that SI piece on Kidd and his family, after the incident happened. the pics were so contrived, it made it look like they were trying way to hard to look like a happy family. but, Kidd's gone out of his way to make amends and i think there's honor in that.

kidds numbers were better this year than last, 1 less rebound and assist, but 4 more point on a better shooting %.

duncan's #'s were mixed altho their record was better, which was probably the reason why he got it.

Imo NJ would suck much more without Kidd than SA would without duncan.

Absolutely agree. Not just because Kidd is so damn good, but because Kidd has made the players around him so much better the last 2 years, like Magic did for the Lakers (though I haven't watched enough Showtime Laker games to really say for sure).

and isn't that what MVP is supposed to stand for?? statistically there are a lot of equivalently spectacular athletes, Garnett, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, McGrady, Iverson, Kidd, so you can't go on statistics alone, you have to see how they contributed to their teams wins. and given that criteria, Kidd should have been the MVP.

Wow, Amazing 1st quarter by the Nets and they held off a Pistons run in the 2nd.

Team that wins the first game of Conference Championships Finals has won the last 19 consecutive series. and 89% over all.

in other words, if you lose the first game, it's EXTREMELY unlikely that you will win it all.

Too bad Dallas will be the exceptionand be part of that "EXTREMELY unlikely" scenario.

Oh, wait. That's not "too bad." Go Spurs!
