Overall, I'm not really impressed. Probably because we've heard almost all of this before... although not intentionally by MS. FF13 is cool and all, but I wont play it.
 
Now if they would have cut about 40 minutes of the crap and went to the FF news earlier, they could have had a really good conference.

Hah. Then people would have been complaining that the press conference didn't close with anything interesting.
 
That was a pretty epic conference I thought. The only reason I have left to buy a PS3 is that it isn't region locked. but either way I'll still be getting one.

So, Versus 13 is still exclusive. And FFXIII is still exclusive in Japan to the PS3. Its only ported in the EU and US. Interesting. Keeps the Japan fanbase, while increasing sales.

Also, the decision was recent.
 
Just an FYI - I likely won't be around during the EA Press Conference (if anyone cares) so probably no updates from me until later this evening.

Never knew you could keep games exclusive in only one region.
 
I'll probably end up with a PSWii60DSPSP combo platter so the FF XIII news doesn't really matter to me, but it's good news for FF fans who only have a 360 (and a PS2 I assume 🙂 ).

The highlight for me is full-disc caching of 360 games to the HD:
- It solves the jet engine noise if you lose the DVD-ROM lottery and get a bad one.
- It might solve the $99 cost of repairing the DVD-ROM after year 1, since it will be idle instead of spinning all the time.

A Jasper 60 GB with run-from-HD: cool, quiet & reliable.

Too bad the 60 GB anouncement didn't mention anything about built-in wifi, so that's still $50-100 depending on what hardware you use 🙁

Yes, those 4 people who bought an xbox 360 in Japan are probably pretty pissed right now lol.
 
Wow FF13 is huge news, I wasn't expecting that at all. Everything else seems okish but not fantastic. I'd still like to see the show though, is there any downloadable videos of the entire show? It'll be up in pieces on Xbox live im sure but id like to see it all.

Also, the Too Human demo was trash, wow. I stopped playing it, I just couldn't enjoy it. Bleh
 
talking about nba live 09 now, with bill walton not following the script at all. peter moore is getting flustered, lol.
 
anyone know where I can find the video of hte ms conference? I watched on g4 up to the netflix then the GF wanted to go do something, figured that was all since they moved to talking about non-game stuff.

you're supposed to be able to watch the video of it on g4's website. don't know the logistics, though.
