I love it... very awesome game. It's the only game that's made me jump and smack the mouse on the desk, lol.
Oh... and the graphics and physics put Far Cry to shame

IMHO
How long have you been playing?
About an hour and a half I think... maybe closer to 2.
*EDIT*
You have to be realistic about what to expect... don't let the hype get you all excited and then be let down when you don't bleed on the keyboard

I just wish I had 5.1 speakers and not these 4.1's

Would be a lot easier to hear where the monsters are with positional audio... right now it's pretty much just left or right. It doesn't seem to be able to do anything with 4.1 speakers, which kinda sucks.
Anyway... the shadows and lighting are better than anything I've seen so far... tech demo's included. If you rush through the game, it feels kinda... hmmmm... what's the word... dull, shoot this, pick up that, shoot this again. But if you take a minute to look around, shine your flashlight in corners... actually PLAY the game instead of play THROUGH the game, it's very good.
I actually think the lighting on surfaces, like metallic surfaces that reflect light, are more realistic than what I've seen in Far Cry... I don't know if that's indicative of ALL Pixel Shader 2.0 stuff (probably not) but at this point OpenGL is looking like a pretty damn good API. The places it slows down is where you get the DX9 heat wave stuff and lots of light sources. I have my 9800 Pro @ XT speeds, with my 2.48 GHz Barton, and 1 GB of RAM... I have it set at Medium detail at 1024x768 (no AA or AF) and it looks great. Everyone that said AA isn't necessary in this game is ALMOST correct. Most of the time I don't notice any jaggies or shimmering lines... the only place you see that is on hand rails and stuff like that.
I do have one major complaint about it... the polygon count seems to be pretty low on creatures and people... their heads have VERY noticeable peaks and flat sides. Textures are beautiful though. I'm going to try it on some different image quality settings with FRAPS running and see how it goes.
