Yes, because balanced matchmaking systems are a novel idea that I just created out of thin air, because everyone loves completely random pub matchmaking in every game there is.

And when I suggest it for D3 it touches your nerve - so hard, and so deep. Have I offended you in some way? Are you a closet game hopping, leeching parasite? If so it's okay, I play on EU servers where you don't, so you won't get booted from a pub game by me.

You do realize that you have not even once tried to assess the merit of my point, right? The sum total of your posting on my idea is simply 'srs bidness roflcopter jus play d game' (I can reduce the totality of your posts to that, too). So whereas I put forward a constructive idea in this thread, somehow I haven't won the all-important forum popularity contest, and you get to thread crap because you think that the idea of mine is too serious for this game? Too serious for a game that people spend hundreds/thousands of hours of their life on? How quaint.

I don't think your idea is too serious, I think you're to serious. If you want to change things, head on over to the D3 forums and submit your ideas. Affect change for real.

It's simply not even a topic worth wasting your breath on. If you don't know by this point that any "public" online component is essentially the wild west, that's on you, not everyone else.

There are plenty of solutions available to the player to control their experience. Clans, communities and PRIVATE GAMES. Whining after all this is not on Blizzard or the leechers anymore. This is not a complaint against the game. This complaint boils down to "I'm too lazy to be proactive to stop this thing I don't like. I blame everyone else!"

Moving on, my wiz finally made it into T6 with Firebird. It's weird to think that at one time this was where it was at. I hate FB. Even if I get a sparker, it's just so slow. Hitting the 3K% weapon damage for them to burn to death is easy, and then it's a matter of dodging around for MINUTES waiting for things to die.

Sounds so fun.

Last class not in T6 for me is the crusader. I get one(two?) more piece of Roland's, and I'll be in.

Love speed farming with my barb using IK6 + BK. Love pushing grifts with WW6/IK4. Barbs are in a pretty good place right now, and that makes me happy. My DH needs work. I think I'm just too lazy to push grifts with M6. At some point I'll grab UE and give it a spin. I think UE plays easier.

I do miss how "lazy" the old M6 was. At least there's still pet docs. Did Zuni really become de-facto for pet docs? I watched a video overview of the new Zuni bonuses, and my current pet doc was hitting harder and faster than a Zuni pet doc. Does F + R also affect fetishes? I suppose it doesn't matter since I'll probably be running TMF and LMF instead.

The point of my posts wasn't solely to prevent leeching - it was to improve the user experience. I read previous posts in this thread complaining about people thread crapping by being negative and not suggesting positive ways to improve the game. My point would even apply to pub grifts, and it's not solely about leeching - it's about getting matched in a group at your level with ease, because at the end of the day you join a clan, some people go inactive, you try to find another active clan, same thing - some people play seasons, some don't, and at the end of the day not everyone is lucky enough to form part of a consistently active clan. I don't know if all of what I just said is on everyone who isn't in an active clan - my idea is just to make the user experience better (the leeching bit was a bonus). Having said all this, I'll drop that subject here permanently now.

On your wizard - last season I did a firebird build but like you I thought it was way too boring to dot and teleport around. I'm having a much better time with tal rasha. That set, with an ancient aether walker, is one of the better rushing wizard builds. That changes if you want to push high grifts, but at least with season 3 wizards got a chance for more burst and less dancing around.

Barbs are still in a good place and are honestly insane in the sense that they were (are?) at the top of solo grift progression, and the idea that they were low on single target dps was laughable if you compared it to even a well geared FB wiz then. Not sure about whirlwind barbs yet.

On your WD - focus and restraint does apply to fetish army as long as you use the appropriate primary/spender to activate the buff. I saw a video from Shinobi on the poison dart pet build and it looked insane - grouped with such a WD and the single target dps was astounding.

I think this patch added a lot for a number of classes - if wizard stays as it is in the next patch (meaning some tal rasha build will be the max grift progression) I'll probably roll a WD.
 
Aristotelian, let it go. This isn't a big deal. Most people don't mind people that are leeching, because it doesn't affect the overall performance of the group in T6. T6 is so incredibly easy and the game/community is vastly mature right now, so the likelihood of someone being OP in a T6 is fairly common.

I know that's not the same for everyone, but most games will have at least 1 person that can solo everything and having others in the game just helps with the exp/gold find bonus.

If that bothers you, then don't run pubs, because that's not going to stop just because you don't like it.

Once again, let it go.
 
I would love to get a group of barbs together tonight to do full rift runs for gear if anyone is game.... SirPaul I will be on tonight if you want to do the Hellfire Amulet runs also🙂

This was far more constructive that the last few posts you and cheesewiz were trading.

But I just don't think it's necessary. Pubs are pubs. There is always a general lobby in any MP game. It's necessary as a catch-all, and there should honestly be very few expectations going into them. There are already clans and communities and friend lists. It just becomes a matter of going out and finding an active group if you don't want to deal with carries.

Disparity will happen. There's no way around that. Get/find a small group of people you can play with consistently. You'll all even out.

I don't know what the Euro AT clan is like, but the US AT clan has a good mix of people that play season and non-season and are regularly online. If I want to group up, there's usually someone willing to play. Reddit will have a list of active clans in all regions, I imagine.

My barb got a delsere's piece, and I have a couple pieces of tal rasha. I don't feel like Wiz, so I'm just going to let them languish for a bit. I've heard about the Dart doctor, have the mask but not the dagger. My more immediate goal is to try to turn my pet doc into a zdps tiki doc because the clan has no support. It's cool that pretty much any random group can clear 50, but even if we have one support player, I imagine we can go much higher. Just need more cooldown reduction and SMK.

The EU Anandtech clan has been disbanded for quite some time. I think even prior to season 1. Cappuccino is the only active player from the list in the OP that I have seen online but he isn't playing season 3.

I'll probably end up joining an active German clan, but if there are any active EU players here give me a shout. I'd be keen to create an AT community on the EU server again.

On support - it's really in high demand. I don't meet many crusaders or wds that are willing to play a zdps role and I don't blame them, but it's necessary to push 60. I bet permanent cc will eventually be nerfed but I wonder what they would add to make up for that.

One thing about seasons - I wish legendary gems could be combined in some way to raise levels as well.
 
So, in the last two days I have spent over 20k shards for ancient pauldrons of the wastes. Unfortunately after 23 sets, no ancients. I think I have found every other set of shoulders in ancient.
 
I finally got a Tal neck in seasons but its a crap roll. Still need a 2nd unity as well and I'll be closing in on 47/48. I've just barely failed a 45 twice now.

Knocked out a 48 solo with my shield bash sader on nonseasons too.

I went through exactly this trying to get MoJ (just getting one, not even ancient) on my NS pet doc. RNG was brutal on that one.

I've almost given up hope up ever seeing SMK. The flip side to that is that I have a 4K ancient furnace, and I thought I'd never see a furnace, let alone ancient.

But that pet doc has other things they can focus on, like an actual int-based TnT, and a TMF that doesn't blow.

Thanks to Neztah, not sure about their forum name, I have a lvl 70 season WD. Maybe they'll have better luck.

I actually got an SMK a few days back. It's ancient and it rolled with 8% damage so I can reroll the damage to max that out.

Now I just need to get a Tasker and Theo and I can change from the Carnevil build. I also have a 99% MoJ, but I've got an 8 second Tik helm that I may as well abuse until that gets nerfed.

RNJesus has been good to me.
 
No ancients here but close.

I got a furnace last week that with a reroll is 3880 dps equipping that and wastes I went from a 39 grift to a 44 grift. Was surprised I made such a jump.

The other night I got a non ancient IKBB that with reroll was right around 3900 dps as well. Haven't tested that on yet to see how the 4 piece IK bonus works with wastes.
 
Please let me know if/how I should roll a socket in this Ancient In-Geom that just dropped for me. I don't want to mess this up.

The roll looks already excellent as far as I could see and seemed like this would be a perfect candidate for a Ramaladni's gift, but unfortunately until now the darn thing is a myth to me. I could also simply wait, as I have a decent Furnace already. But I would love to try the In-Geom/Triumvirate combo.

As you can see I'm going for the slow-time/arcane orb with the Delsere's Magnum Opus, which I'm still short of the chest piece for the full set. I've also gotten almost a full set of Tal Rasha I'd probably try mixing up with the DMO (apparently Del-Rasha is a thing).

Also, please let me know if there's any enchanting suggestion on anything else.
 
If you're too impatient to wait for a gift, roll +dmg to socket. When you get a gift, roll the socket back to +dmg, then gift it.

But don't take my word on it, I'd wait for someone to either verify or suggest something else.

I spent thousands of shards trying to get an MoJ and once I finally did, not a couple hours past and I found another, only 1% lower. Lucky for TallBill, he was in my party and didn't have one, so I dropped it to him. =)

I'm with the other guys. the 6% dmg is low, roll that to a socket for now, then when you get the Rgift, roll the socket to 10% dmg and use the gift.
