You only need 2 pc tals to make the build I have in my profile work, the meteors are very strong. 6 pc tals is just the icing on the cake, I was able to be useful in t6 with 2 pc and just random dmg pieces elsewhere.

My build on wizard since season 1 has always been an electorcute/disintegrate build for t1-t3 with a 2h weapon (1H use your resource too fast). The biggest mistake people make on Wizard is getting attack speed, it only makes your sheet dps go up, but your actual dps will not go up.

The only builds that use attack speed are end game hydra builds with near perfect Tasker and Theos because you need to reach certain attack speed breakpoints.

If anyone plays US servers I can run them through some T6 and grifts for some gear tonight, be on around 8 eastern. It's much easier to play this game in groups so if you are playing completely solo you are really gimping yourself for finding gear and leveling. If you enjoy playing solo then I can respect that, but you are normally much better off just joining public games if your goal is just get geared faster.

I am not sure of the gameplay style to have all four meteor types going.

I wanted to eventually get to 5/6 piece Firebird + 2 piece Tal Rasha. Right now I use Meteor Shower and the arcane familiar. I get two types of meteors and can cast my own almost constantly. I changed my primary to Magic Missile - Glacial Spike, and now get three meteor types while only having to cast one non-primary attack.

Use the below:

teleport - calamity (arcane)
blizzard - frozen solid (cold)
electrocute - (lightning)
hydra/meteor (fire)

Then use an armor and magic weapon - force weapon. The 4 pc firebirds is actually pretty good for rifts, 6 pc takes too long to ramp up for t6 rifts.

looted an ancient IK weapon last night that rolled 4300+ and a ancient Maximus that also rolled very nicely.

Now I need to pray the gift gods!!!!!

Also looted 2 ancient waste peices as well as a perfect (near) ancient Focus....

Almost scared to play tonight as all my luck might have been spent last night!!!

That IK weapon is nuts, one of the best I've seen. Let's go gift hunting tonight, I had some decent drops last night as well, mainly my FD the others were good but not necessarily upgrades. My monk can do ~1min T6 rifts, we can just run through them over and over or maybe speed grifts.

We also now know that 2.5 full T6 rift clear levels a level toon to 70! I think it took 20-30 mins!

What happened?

People were getting 100,000s of blood shards through an exploit and blizzard rolled back most of the abusers. Although many people figured out you could claim you were hacked and then rollback the rollback so smart people weren't affected by the "punishment" at all.

Hmm so how does that work? I thought we could only have 500 blood shards on a character at a time? Do they just fill up in your bag above that limit?

I was curious because for the first time last night the game client crashed in the middle of a rift. Thought maybe this rollback is what caused that.

You can combine Tals with 4pc Magnum Opus, and then use slow time for a extra damage type (goes with highest elemental damage you have). I run with that kind of setup, shock pulse for lightning, frozen orb for cold, I think WW for arcane, and slow time has fire damage. I can usually get through 38/39 on my own with this setup.

I would probably have used an armor for a tals damage stack, but I saw it wasn't tripping it (only tripped meteors).

If you were doing GR60 in a 4 man team one person would leave and go fishing for Blood Thiefs in bounties. When you killed them you would get the Magic find boost from being in GR60 so basically the blood thief would drop tens of thousands of shards. You just pick up as many as you can, spend them, then TP back and pick up more.

I cant get a damn tal neck in order to run Tal 6/Del 4 on seasons. Running 6 del I can solo 41, and running 6tal with ingeom i can farm t6 quick.

Without a serpent striker I'm kinda fucked. I did get a so so furnace to drop yesterday, maybe I can build an okay 6tal w/ furnace.

I'm getting towards that stage - I have near perfect ancient Aether walker and Shard of Hate, can't come across any kind of serpement sparker, and have decent TnTs also.

I run teleport, hydra, blizzard, shock pulse, armor, black hole. I skip magic weapon/familiar, but black hole for me adds a lot in the Tals setup (I use 6 piece) in terms of CC on top of frozen solid, plus I can add that stack from a distance without needing to teleport onto a mob (which I do sometimes anyway, it's fun).

The tals set is pretty good, and feels properly wizardly to me - squishy. As with any game, though, it's tough to find a good group. I've found a good crus and wd (EU) but good DHs aren't that common. And there are still many people simply leeching, in full xp setup in T6 rifts or in 35 grifts, but luckily if I join pubs with a 3 person group we simply kick out any and all leechers. Many people seem to think that they're entitled to just catapult to the top based on other peoples' play time, and it's easy to identify these people - who have an 80 hour DH with 500 paragon points and are playing a barb with craptastic gear and 500 paragon trying to leech in a pub.

In some sense, the match making system for pubs should be improved a lot too, to prevent this from happening. I hope this is worked on in the future as well.

Need to get back at this game, didn't played since late Season 2. Should probably start a new toon for S3 and try something different like a WD or Wiz...

Both are pretty fun with all of the more recent changes. I've been running with a Carnevil build and have 23 fetishes running around and shooting poison darts that pierce for mildly insane amounts of damage.

Wizard has a lot of fun builds based around Tal's set and the slow time set is pretty fun as well when you can spam the bubbles.

I bought this game during the sale before S3. I leveled up a crusader the week before season 3 started. And now am working on a seasonal DH. Working on a strafe build right now. Lots of fun!

Personally I love the new set, but if you are pushing high Grifts you need to go 6 tals + T&T for highest possible dps. Those hydras just do too much dmg once you hit the proper breakpoints.

Meh, join a full clan if that's an issue. When I pub I really could care less who is in the group.

Lame. Accept the fact that not everyone is the same level. I glady carry peeps in a pub with less than adequate gear. why? because that's the pub. Make a friends list so you and your cool friends can just start a private game together. not really rocket science.

I mean, cmon...it's a pub...it's not srs bznz.

Pubs used to be alright until the butt buddy system came along, aka clans.
