Yes, caches can drop any legendary available in addition to the cache only legendaries.

Also, new set pieces can't be worn by other classes. It is possible the updated old set items can (I don't have any new ones, so I can't test it), but the new set pieces are class specific. I have crusader shoulders and a DH helm that can't be worn on any other class, despite being armor types everyone can equip.

That only increased his survivability, not his damage. He was literally mowing things down (and still is for the most part with a new fire build), but the SoH was broken. It proc'd far too often. I think the nerf is a bit much, but Blizzard isn't for fine tuning. They prefer nerfs to make good things useless (see the AH and BoA loot, as well as barb and CM wizard changes).

With him not dying, he was able to kill quickly. The SoH was not the only thing allowing him to be efficient on T6. That Unity combo is awesome

As a Wizard ... I've skipped going for Life on Hit as it didn't seem very effective.

I've stacked up so Life After Kill and it seems to work fairly well, but it doesn't seem to do quite enough because if I've mowed down mobs near me and all that is left is the elite, I'm out of luck.

Anyone find LoH useful? Or what else can I try?

If RoS was the initial release of the game, you could have a simmer of loot complaints. Given that this is the revision to what existed, I'll happily instantly discount the vast majority of the complaints given the vast improvements to the system that most of those complaining seem to ignore have happened.

That's only true for the new 6 piece sets iirc. The four piece sets I think can be worn by anyone.

Life Regen. You can run away and heal up.

By design, Legendary items are going to drop far less often than Rare items, and we want that rarity to be reflected in their power.*When a Legendary drops, the question that goes through a player's mind should never be "is this a good item?" It should be "how awesome is it?"*For example, if you are playing a Demon Hunter wielding a Rare crossbow and a Legendary crossbow drops, we want your reaction to be "Holy crap, YES!" not "*sigh* another Hellrack." It's a problem if players don't want to bother identifying their Legendaries, let alone pick them up. We want to change this.

So yes, I would call this about a 95% failure at this point.

After playing this game more, Loot 2.0 is nothing more than higher primary stats, higher weapon damage along with neutering the roll system to a 4/2 affix system and having the inability to balance life steal so they resort to the extremely poor LoH. Worst of all, itemization is still awful.

I found a legendary spear the other day. I ported instantly, went to the blacksmith, made it a forgotten soul and put it in my stash.

I would do this with all 2H weapons if the Crusader did not use them.

That's how I feel about the majority of the legendary rings/amulet atm. I think it says a lot when you can find a lot of really geared players still wearing rare amulet/rings because it's easier(and cheaper) to find than the majority of the shitty legendaries.

The rng of the game involves a bell curve. Guess you happen to be the statistical anomoly stuck at the leading edge of the curve. Sucks to be you and you should probably just uninstall.

Yeah I guess that makes sense... not having to perform ANY action and still get life does make it sound better. But even at 5k/sec that would take forever (in battle terms) to get any real amount of life.

It is really a balancing act. You have to stack damage mitigation and life though, as the life steal nerf was beyond retarded. Life regen is really nice, but I wouldn't simply skip LoH as well.

I have some LoH (50/50 paragon & 2000 something on a weapon) on my monk but I kind of think your best bet is just getting enough DPS and toughness to kill anything with a single potion lol - then clear trash and it'll be back up by the time you get to the next elite. LoH just shows up in too many inopportune slots (jewelry and gloves) for it to really be worth getting on gear and most skills cut down it's effectiveness pretty significantly through their innate coefficients.

This was my same thought. I barely noticed any life coming back to me when I had it.

I have a feeling I'm way over stacked on AR, but I still die really quickly in T3+. My only chance is to use Black Hole + Frost Nova to give me a chance to get away.

I find good weapons (except no TF @ 70) and that is it. Everything else has been meh at best.

I have a feeling they will buff the LoH coefficient and allow it to proc much better. It can only proc so often I found (this was before RoS and just on 2.0).

LoH isn't the most efficient but can complement Lps to help sustain. I have a decent amount of LoH on my wizard alt's gear and it does help a little when face tanking with a channeling ability (spec'ed Ray of Frost due to Light of Grace OH).

I'm the opposite, I haven't found an amazing weapon just yet. The ones on my WD and Wiz are decent, but nothing spectacular with unique abilities that I'd truly want. I do get a lot of 2handers :/

I didn't start playing Diablo 3 until patch 2.0.1, about a week or so before the auction house went offline (never used it). So to me, the current game is normal, and even given that I think the current itemization system needs a massive amount of work. I should never have to wonder before I identify a legendary that I spent the last 3 hours waiting to drop, if it's better than the rare item I'm wearing. Legendary items should feel legendary. Many either don't because they are glorified rares, or they don't because their stats rolled so bad, they are a serious downgrade over what you were wearing (oh equiping this "legendary" will make me lose 19% dps over the rare I have on!).

Also with the mystic, if we have to spend forgotten souls that and massive gold to enchant an item, it should NEVER roll the same exact thing again with lower stats. That's just a kick in the damn face, and a waste of a crafting mat that you spent a few hours trying to find.

I was like that for awhile, but one day I found literally 5 or 6 legendary X bows and the next day found another.

I think my gear is pretty good on my DH now, just need a few tweaks and some things that would help. I have a 6/47/6 trifecta legendary ring with Dex, but the secondary is lame (stacking gold pickup radius with each gold pick up). I also have a decent ring that gives -1 to the set bonus requirements that is pretty good. I am around 1.5m DPS + ~39% elemental damage. I am now looking to increase that and elite damage, but mostly with side grade pieces. Possibly stack some resource cost reduction as well.

Found a fun to read thread at the D3 forums. Some pretty clever quips in here (people complaining about all the nerfs left and right):

Some of my favorites:

The Shard is now very fickle
Like hitting with a long limp pickle
My head hung in shame
Barb has no end game
Blizzard can suck my tes-ticle

Think twice before planning your gear,
history has made it quite clear,
your boots of +fun,
will soon be undone,
and boots of +meh will appear.

There are a bunch that are good though.

Your Barb is level 69. Blizzard messed up loot itemization between 61 and 70. You need to hit 70, then start worrying about gear.

Adrenaline#1529 is my battle tag. If I am online, I can kill Malthael for you on Torment 1 for your legendary drop.

I missed that... Rushed and cleared the content on hard. I'll be 70 tonight though because experience bar is like 1/2 full. May have to reroll the Barb. Working on a Crusader as well.
