Tried some teamplay last night on my barb and I really disliked every group I got matched up with. And 90% of them were finished runs... One group had some WD's fighting about how one was awful because he had 70k dps (but he would counter with "well this is a new build, my other build has 450k dps)... Just left that group. =(

Any CM Wiz and Monks wanna group run? I just wanna smash as fast as possible and those two help a lot. =) I guess a WD would help too. No DHs though! They are bad! =3

Public games were mostly poor for me when I've tried it, so I stopped trying the random ones.
 
Yeah, I really dislike the public group system (and that everyone can pick MP10, with their 20k HP and 50k DPS). I just really want to finish my barb already and that is the fastest way to level. =(
 
i hate playing with barbs, they run too fast... 😛

i'll probably be on tonight. have a monk and WD that can survive mp10... my monk less so because i just sold my EF for $8 on RMAH. lect#1710 if i haven't added you and vice versa.
 
my WD is probably best for DPS... but CM Wiz works best with a monk who can cyclone stuff in... and I hate playing my monk... decisions decisions
 
How do people get over 100k unbuffed dps? I just don't get it. On all 5 of my chars, my highest has 57k, and when I look for upgrades, even crazy expensive upgrades, I only see increases of damage around 3-5k. If I replace all of my items at that damage amount I doubt I would even hit 100k. Where are people finding these amazing upgrades to damage on items? I don't get it...even the highest DPS weapon I can find in the AH only has an increase of 23K....and we are talking the best of the best (500million), and of course it's a downgrade on life and protection for me. And the DPS seems to drop off abruptly after that first page of 100+ million gold items.

I can't even begin to understand how people hit 300k unbuffed dps...

Yeah, too many barbs take their solo playing mentality and use it in groups. Ideally, they're great for a group by running ahead and aggro a bunch of things to bring back to the more stationary members of the party to kill together for xp.

that's what I did, but typically people would lag so far behind that by the time the monsters were pulled far enough, they were dead....

now I do it with my WD. locust swarm + pestilence = half the screen is filled with mobs running at me. it's fun in fields of misery, i pulled half the map once and couldn't even fight because the charging rhino thingies kept stunning me lol

Link your char and I'm sure many people here can tell you how to up your dps

I have been sitting at 188k unbuffed DPS since Novemberish lol.

It's all about stacking the right stats, I don't know about now but when I was playing critical damage/critical chance/IAS used to boost DPS like crazy.

It's pretty easy to get mediocre DPS upgrades now, since they've changed the AH to allow the tooltip comparison. Before you had to link the items in your chat and log into a game to see the true comparisons.

The main thing to remember is that once you hit a certain level of DPS (around 100k), you're relying more on LS and less on LoH, regen, etc. You have to make sacrifices in order to further your DPS unless you have egads of gold laying around. It's trial and error, but one way to really get an idea is to look at other people's profiles and see what they have on the same class that you're trying to upgrade. If you've played with people that seem to do well, find out what skills they use and equipment they have.

Another large part is to remember that the small upgrades all stack making a large difference in the end. There's a reason why people upgrade their gems to get that extra 4 str, dex, int. Because at the top tier, that amount of primary stat makes a pretty big difference in the grand scheme of things.

Not bad. I'd put starting bid around 15m and b/o around 120m.

Sad thing is, I've probably salvaged so many rings similar to that, lol.

Stats are pretty close to a Unity, with higher crit, but lower primary stat. See what a similar Unity is going for and judge from there.
 
I was experiencing some bad lag yesterday, I thought was due to graphics and CM wiz stuff, but turns out my CM macro was causing this. I guess pressing 2,3,4 100 times a second is not good for performance.

I have had some awful luck lately with legendaries. Foudn 2 Echoing Furies in a single run, and both had under 900 dps with no socket. =(

lol... I always have bad luck with legs. Found like 5 vile wards lately. All sucked, except for one.. it had 230 dex, 40 vit, ..... standard vile ward stats. Not bad. Better than the stuff I've crafted for my dh/monk. So, I'll use it instead of selling for 8m or so.

Also, I wonder how CM is going to work with a console controller. Gonna be like playing track n field back in the day I bet, lol.
