So I found an Andy's Visage with 160 dex, 9 AS, and 4.5 crit -- the standard roll without a socket. It bumps my dps by just under 10k dps. Unfortunately, I lose a ton of resists and health since I'm using a socketless Mempo right now. Damn... Can't afford a crit'd Mempo.

That DPS increase might not be worth it if you lose the survivability to maintain it. What is the extra fire damage on the Andys? I generally stay away from them on monk's unless I am a poison monk. You only need 2 APS to be able to keep overawe up every 5 seconds (or whatever the count down thing is).

I thought all Mempo's had a socket.
 
Got quite a few legendaries last night with Silverpig. Too bad they were all trash. =(

Lost the auction for my mempo as well. That is very disappointing. Can't believe it went for more than 500mil. Oh well, suppose I will look for another to buy tonight. Hopefully, a much better one.

Yeah mine were all pretty much garbage too. Oh well, the brimstones are okay.
 
So it seems like the bnet forums are filled with more than usual "omg nerf barbs now" trash. I just can't understand the mentality behind it. Okay, let's agree barbs can be OP. How does this, in any way shape or form, effect how much fun YOU have playing YOUR other class. If they nerf barbs, I am done with Blizzard. I don't play D3 so I can have a crap time, barely killing white mobs. I play so I can find bigger, better loot.

I think the main issue is that relative to other classes, especially at high MP play, barbs are pretty far out in front. IMO you just need to buff other classes, not nerf barbs. Fun for everyone.
 
yea same here, if they nerf barbs i'm done, they nerfed my cm wizard, nerfed whirlwind barbs before etc...

roll a barb or stfu is what i say, in this game that most people play solo, how does what i'm doing with a barb affect you? not at all, so stupid.

funny thing is i don't even use a perma wotb build, i use a rend/hota build right now
 
The problem I think is that it is cheaper to gear a barb for MP10. But that is only due to the lack of a competing class for the STR stat. The end game gear is still the same. And an end game CM Wiz / DH are just as good as a barb. I've seen CM wizards with 400K dps. That is way more OP than a barb. Perma freeze AND incredible damage? Yeah barbs are the most OP.

Think it had a very low +fire % "bonus", but the lack of a socket probably means it's not worth that much. I forget if it sold on the AH or not already.

I'm at 212k dps without the extra 10k, so I don't really "need" the extra damage, but the +4.5% crit chance is awesome to have.

Even I don't know what I meant there. It is a critless Mempo I'm using though.
 
The main thing is, people don't know how to play their class. My main WD can do mp10 better than my barb and to really upgrade my barb to the level that my wd is at would be very costly. Only thing cheap about the barb is the amount of ls that it can have. No other class can even come close. So I propose allowing ls to roll on mojo's and shields and maybe all belts should have the ability to roll ls. Anyhow, most dps barbs don't even use mighty belts, they use wh's. So, people should really learn to play and adapt with their characters and stop whining.
 
I don't understand the people who claim you can do MP10 with a 10mil barb. I spent a lot more before I got to MP10, but I am not the bargain hunter.


I did finally buy a Mempo. Sadly, could only get a 4.0% crit one. At least, I've hit the final breakpoint I care about though. The next one I could hit, but I'd need to upgrade at least 3 things with APS (both rings and then probably Inna's pants) Not worth it IMO.

I also think I am going to start wasting my money crafting gloves. Current ones are amazing though. 90s str, 79AR trifecta.

How much LS can you get on a barb?

Virtually all demon hunters run with shadow power which is 15% LS.

that's with gloom on though. Run out of discp. and you're sol. Not saying a DH is bad. You gear them right and have a little skill, they're diesel to.

Anyhow, I was on mp10 with my barb today and ran into a pack of molten, plague, arrow mobs. Got pwned plenty of times with wotb/ww on. I could've put on the ik belt and had more ls, and ar from wc, but I would be giving up alot of dps to do so. So, no doubt the barb is nice and the best class to play, but it has it's shortcomings to. BTW, I do 160k unbuffed roughly+60 hp+ 600ar+ 6k armor. Not the best, but the argument is that a cheap barb is invincible even @ mp10.

Preparation or bola shot with bitter pill give virtually unlimited discipline.

It's kind of sad that all DHs need to spam shadow power with gloom to not die. If I run into a white mob on mp10, I get one or two shotted without it on.
