I use a Radeon 5850HD and get smooth frame rates 95%+ of the time. There have been a few instances where there will be FPS lag, but other players in the game get it too which makes me believe it was server side related and not with my graphics.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers? etc. Did you do a clean uninstall/reinstall? (safemode, driver sweeper, etc)

I did a fresh install of windows on my SSD. What driver version are you using? It's silly that it will stutter this bad. It's like it will stutter a few secs then go back to normal. May i know your in game settings especially the MAX foreground FPS? I play at 1080p.
 
Found me a Manticore yesterday, cool beans! It had low DPS (920) but two sockets and pretty high dex, so worth about 10 to 13m.

Really didn't think the Patch was going to take this long but pretty sure it's coming Tuesday morning

I think i'm using whatever the latest ati catalyst drivers are.

My in game settings are pretty much max/highest settings with FPS set at 60 max.

My roomy has a 7850 and he sees no problems. He just built that computer with the works though (new MoBo, CPU, RAM, SSD, etc...).

Mine does that too and i'm on 6850 1920x1200 full screen windowed mode. I ran full max and also tried medium and low. It only does it on certain sections of the map. A lot other users report same issues running Gefroce cards too.
I don't think it has anything to do with your drives.

I have the same problem. Most of the time things are fine, but things do get really choppy from time to time.

Xfx 6870
Q6600
4 GB ram
Vertex 2
Running on OSX
 
I've also seen some choppiness, but only in some areas (I think), when a lot of effects are on screen.

i3 2100, HD5770, 8 GB of RAM, W7
Catalyst 12.4 (I forget at the moment if this is true... Cant check at the moment)
 
I'm only in nightmare, but I finally switched to a 2 hander on my barbarian, and it more than doubled my dps and the 2 hander had a decent amount of vitality on it so my life pool increased by a lot too. Nightmare went from easy to faceroll now. Boss HP basically melts away without my barb losing much hp.

Is there a build that benefits from a shield? Is it mainly for tanking in groups? Some of my shields had decent stats on them, but nowhere near what the 2 handers I have been finding have. Maybe I am just unlucky with my shield drops. At this point I don't see myself going back to using one.

Ya, they are damn nice, but IAS max is 8% (?) and I've seen crit chance at 7-8%. Regardless, all useful skills. Probably worth a few dozen million.
 
Went 3/3 with dark tonight

1. Stormcrow helm sold for 100k suck roll
2. ik eternal reigns chest mid decent roll should be about 100-150m
3. inna temperance pants - 25-30 mil

I found 1 set item over 400 hours and only 1 unique worth a damn over the same period.
