Seriously... what the f*ck is the point of unqiues, which are "unique" and oh so rare, when they suck most of the time (my great 7-ish item sample size where only 1 was usable)? So, I have to fight the roll for a unique to drop, then a couple more rolls that are biased towards making the item suck.

I think the RMAH is dead. Haven't sold anything on there except gold since gold was made buyable.

I've noticed the same. Gold is the only thing I've heard of moving on there lately. I liked the concept of the centralized AH/RMAH but the economy on it just got so out of whack it's useless now

Well I'm doing well on the RMAH, sold another 100 dollars yesterday worth of items.

Wish I could make that work for you, but those shoulders in my mind, and according to the GAH should go for way more than 1.8m. I was actually thinking somewhere in the 20m+ range.
 
Looks like they did some "rebalancing"?

I almost never got the Avenger (like Barbarian enrage skill) affix on elites previously. I've been getting it a lot today. So great, not only do I have to put up with walls that get me stuck and the prison, they get to wail on me while I'm stuck with buffed damage.

Not really scientific, but more possible evidence game is losing players: Sunday evening and only 950 "in games" public. Compare this with the 1100+ I saw in the weeks previous.
 
i absolutely could do nothing against this elite pack

jailer/waller/frozen/nightmare/desecrate

i could not move at all, then i died finally


altho i did have an elite with 5 invun minions and arcane the other night, as soon as i got spotted they vortex'd me in and i was surrounded by 6 arcane lasers, i think i lasted 2 seconds before die'ng LOL

For the first one, Barbarian using WotB and they die quickly.

The second one would suck but could be killed.

Those shoulders are a give and take. They have low (but nice) strength and life but high armor. Nice, but I would say around 10 maybe. If you get more congrats, but I would honestly be surprised.
 
I run no MF on my WW Barb and I farmed the past two days and got some good drops finally.

I sold them for 15 million gold total.

I got an amulet the other day:

121 Dex
219 Vit
35 Resist All
290 LoH
7.5 Crit Chance

Closest one on the AH with a primary stat is HUGELY priced. I got an offer of 10 million for it but have passed for now. I would like a Barb equivalent one.
 
maybe im giving my stuff away, how do u know how much to price stuff? just comparing it to whats close on AH ?

and i couldn't get the WOTB up because it was on cool down =) just bad timing

Pretty much, but you also want to look at if the items are selling or not, you may see items priced in the millions and figure that's what your items are worth, but if you look at the amount of time these items have been sitting there you can generally conceive that the price set it too high. You don't want to price to high, but at the same time you don't want to give away your item either. You have to a find a balance in price. Over time and the more experienced you get with the average prices of items based on stats, you will be able to judge better on how much you should price your items for.
 
Did they ninja-tweak drop rates, or am I just getting lucky? I'm lvling up a WD and I got 2 legendaries in Normal, plus I've gotten another 2 cruising thru NM. Some mid-lvl monk fist, and a pair of Hammer Jammers.

Never had that kind of finding success rate with my other 3.

But I'm starting to wonder why I continue to give Bloozard such acknowledgement. This game is really such a fried abortion of an excuse compared to D2. Normal thru Hell is balanced and playable, albeit woefully oversimplified, but Inferno is a trainwreck on many levels.

I guess they mean for you to use the AH to progress and survive, but I never needed to trade in order to succeed in D2. But I also had a set of reliably findable uniques to lean on, such as Vipermagi or Harly Crest.

I'm trying to self-find my way through - I've gotten 3 characters a third of the way through A2 Inferno w/o trading, but they've all hit the same wall.

Jailer/Butcher for cash and prizes really gets dull after a while.
 
1.04 coming today I think? I read online (Googlecache as I can't the forums from here) a few tidbits but who knows what's fake and what's true.

One is that the new legendary are GOOD items and also bind on equip- I think EVERYTHING should be like that considering the huge drop rates but that's just me. Even for legendary it's a minor change but could make a big difference.

Second I read was a post which I think was written as coming from Blizzard but chances are 99% it's fake as it contained a ton of positive changes. A few included included adding something like 40 'elite' levels which required about 50 hours each to obtain and allowed you to then give 20 points to one of the primary stats. It also referred to epic purple item which would be even better than legendary. It had other fixes and changes, way too much to be a .0 change, it could easily have been 1.1 with all it contained.

I figure knowing blizzard that both of those are fake... because they would actually stand a chance at making the game fun. I was fortunate to be away a few days and if 1.04 doesn't change the game significantly I expect my time is finally up.
 
I can't believe people actually want more levels just because they need something to grind lol, that's like the furthest thing from fun I can think of.

that's a very good amulet for monks, has all the right stats. all its missing is a 6th modifier for crit dmg or attack speed.

easily worth 30mil to the right buyer, probably more if you bid it out on the trade forum or d2jsp

I put it on d2jsp, only gave an offer of 10 million so far. The AH would get me better results.
