It would be very easy to make a lot of gold fast, you basically AH all your items, including the good gear you have and it should be enough to obtain a high quality item. You dupe that, sell it at a heavily undercut price, you then make an exponential amount of gold than what you started with. Then you use that gold to pyramid even more.

Wouldn't take long for Blizzard to be forced to shutdown the AH and fix the dupe.

I was only questioning the "why doesnt he sell super high end items" question. I understand how to make gold. IMO if he duped the same item 100's it would stand out since loot is super super random the chances of finding the same exact item stats is just about as likely to win the lottery.

same number of total drops i think, but more of those are likely to be yellow than blue or white

I prefer solo since it's faster/easier on me personally but I usually do take a tagalong dps which does make the run more difficult and I find I die a lot more. Goes from 90 mins to over 2 hrs to complete but I figure it's worth it since loot is sorta doubled.

My tagalong is usually a friend of mine who's a 50k dps DH, he gets 1 shotted all... the... time. But if anyone with decent dps care to run A3 but can't do it solo, pm me your battle tag and I'll see about sending an invite if I ever have a spot open.

want to do dual-monk runs? i can swap conviction aura if you do MoE/HT. dps is only 20k unbuffed as i am too cheap to shill out for a new weapon.

"Tried it 100 times. 20 rares, none were the bow and none were the same as each other. The ilvl ranged from 51 (2h axe) to 59 (fist weapon)."

yea im crit build. i have no problems killing stuff in a3 as i have almost 100% dps uptime unless i get really bad affix rolls. i still use exploding palm to finish champion packs though, so that usually makes this slower... haha.
 
I love this game personally. The main things that are killing it for me are:

1. The awful awful awful drops after hours upon hours upon hours of farming.

2. The costs to upgrade my gear on the AH are astronomical.

I can't get anything good that could sell for a reasonable amount on the AH. I want to gear up my Barbarian and just can't afford it. I logged in last night to finish some auctions and logged out. That is the first night I can remember where I had time and just did not care to play at all.

The loot setup in this game is a little better than Diablo 2 and vastly inferior to LoD. If I can't get any upgrades for my characters through magic finding or getting enough gold for the AH then there is no reason to play. I have three characters through Inferno and have focused heavily on farming for almost three weeks, yet nothing.

I really enjoy this game, just the loot system is awful as of now.

Also, upgrading gems is pathetically overpriced as well. As of now I am still on every now and then. If you need help with something I can try to help you out. Just the extreme waste of time is nothing I have ever felt in any other game ever. Even playing to level 99 in D2 was more fulfilling than D3 in its current state. If you need help with anything add me and I will do my best.

I want to like the game but the big issue I have is the difficulty between act 2 and 3. Act 2 is still a joke and I still can't kill an elite back in act 3. I also haven't found a decent drop in act 2 in quite a while. The ones I do still don't sell fast/well even when I undercut on the AH.
 
I guess I've been pretty fortunate. I had a pretty rough night last night. Did 2 A3 runs over 3 hours for a total of 7 i63 rares of which among them was a wand, 2h stave, and a 2h axe. I was losing my mind at the the BS when all of a sudden a 6-prop vambrace pattern dropped. Sold it today for 34m. What a relief that was but I don't even want to think about the days ahead when this happens again minus the happy ending.

I think I've given up on finding gear for myself. My barb is the only remotely Act 3 Inferno capable out of 3 I have, and he needs a 1300+ dps weapon to actually function in Act 3.

After logging 200 hours and only having 3 million gold (I sold about 1.2 million in the past week), I don't see having the 10+ million necessary, nor would I even spend it.

All I'm doing now is farming for gold and pawning the shit on the RMAH to supplement my income - sad because I supplement my income with stocks and make more in a second than I do in an hour...

yes I am also having the same problem, it seems that if you just want a decent set of low end gears it's not too bad, I can fully gear a char for about 500k, but once you want to take it further, you need to spend like 1mill/piece. It's just too impractical for me to get that much gold, and mf runs produce so little (haven't even get a green/lengendary in last few weeks at all). I'm also about to give up, I only log on to play w/ friends, that's it.

I also think taking out the need to level a char is bad idea, I used to build char after char cause I want to try new skill sets, now there's no need for that. So there's less a reason to lvl and play this game. Adding to the fact that good drops are just next to nil, it just makes this game quite boring comparing to D2/LoD.
 
I've almost completely decked out my DH, +29% attack speed, 35k DPS, lots of armor and pretty good resists (around 600). Made a lot of good buys on the AH. Now I just need to learn how to not suck too much 😀

If anyone would like to duo/trio inferno please post or PM me your battle tag, all my friends lost interest in D3 :x so I gots no one to play with. Playing public games with 3 other random people is fine until you get to Act 2 inferno, then playing with randoms doesn't work out so well after that.
 
This is stupid.. Since Saturday, I've been consistently losing my connection to b.net a few times an hour. Since yesterday, I can't stay connected longer than 20 minutes at a time.
 
The more i play recently, the more i just do it while thinking "i hope tochlight 2 will come out soon and it will be better".

One can only run Act 1/INF so many times until it gets extremely boring
Act 2 annoys the # out of me (basically the entire act)
The drops are so awful throughout the entire game, the time invested/spent versus the 3 actual sellable items is really not worth it.

Ilvl63 200 DPS weapons? WTF!

I am getting tired of IDing all those yellow crap loots, over an over.

Often it happens i spend hours playing, have not a lot of luck and get in a bad/newb group where people dont have any dmg/DPS whatsoever...so it happens i die a few times. End result of several hours "farming" is about as much gold as i had before, A LOT of crap in my bags...that's it. 3 or 4 hours wasted, nothing gained. This is literally what 90% of this #+%%%! game is, wasted time.

My Barb, DH, Wizard and WD can do Act 1 inferno with ease. If you guys want someone to chill with, add me as a friend and join my game. Just let me know who you are from here and I am totally fine with it. My Monk I have not done Act 1 with but I am sure I could.

If I am playing Diablo 3 you guys are welcome to come or ask me for help doing stuff. if I am busy I will be unable to help you but I will do my best.

My DH has soloed everything but Diablo (lag spikes galore for some reason) and the first boss in Act 4 (I do NOT feel like doing it the way I saw it done).
 
On top of the boring mf runs in a1, I also hate the item search criteria, why can't they put in another 2 lines of search, also for source, I can't find how to search average damage on the source, had to flip thru like 20 pages of junks. Why can't bliz just value my time and make the AH search workable!?

I think if GW2 is any good, I'm switching over when it comes out.

srry for the rant, just feel this game is getting boring by the day.
