quick question; when browsing for weapons on AH, and something has a +dmg % on it, does the displayed DPS already take that into account, or will I get that once it's equipped??

Also, for a barb, what would be better: +290 str on a weapon, or +50% dmg?

+ damage, elemental or min/max is already accounted for, so is attack speed. Primary stat, crit, and crit damage are not since their values are based on your other gear.

Given two equal dps weapons, one with + str will be better for you.

Geez it seems I can do A1 with a good team but I get slaughtered in A2. This morning I did A4 he'll with a terrible group of players who kept dying every 5 minutes. My farming isn't going so well and none of my stuff is selling.

Seeing as how farming gold in hell isn't going quickly enough, I think I need to just find a good group of A1/A2 farmers and ride along to get a few good AH items to get my gold up. Sitting at 500k right now and I can't afford any really good inferno gear. Don't really want to spend $100 of real money on it either.

My experience is similar. I started pubbin' Butcher runs and got a couple of good players on my list that do the same thing. Festering woods for the two caves and maybe a couple packs in the woods. Then into the Halls, picking up lots of merchant fodder along the way.

I've only found 3 items worth >500k, but it bought me some upgrades to make the farming quicker at least, but I'm still building up for A2.

I have maybe found 10 items that are worth anything for my 3 60 level characters, the rest have been purchased from the AH. Really don't get how people are so fortunate finding items to AH, let alone legendary items. WTF am I doing wrong?

Thousands and thousands of players = something good drops at some point... And a couple farmers with a few hundred accounts each?

My last good find was two weeks ago. I'm only selling 1 or 2 items every few days on the GAH and RMAH combined now. Think people are leaving the game and the people sticking around only want the best since they already have reasonably good stuff.

At this point, seems like we should just pray for an expansion pack and/or a massive patch that adds/changes things. I'll hold onto my crap for when that happens.

People buy things for between 100k and 500k on the spot. Whoever told me to try that on the previous page of this thread might've saved this game for me, or at least distracted me for a week or so

Yea, this is what I'm going to start doing. My gear has gotten to the point where I can sufficiently handle Act 2, but holy crap so many things in Act 3 can 2 shot me, and being there are so many enemies with ranged attacks, if I'm in the wrong spot at the wrong time, it's certain death. I have picked up some good gear running with a few guys who can do Whimsyshire, but that place stresses me out as well.

I had an iLvl 63 helm that I identified and I got lucky. Had a socket, 150 int, and 20% MF which I sold for 2 million. That's the most money I've made off one item yet. (I sold at a discount to a friend)

I've been thinking about doing this. I currently have MF at 30% and GF at 44%, just from good equipment that I've found or bought, didn't get MF intentionally.

im farming act1 by myself pretty easily with my DH, i have more or less 110% MF unbuffed and 30k damage... i can 1shot normal mobs...and elites normally are easy, even though i might die from time to time

i dont know what is better... more speed at the cost of less MF, or more MF but killing things slowly...

i could be running Act1 with 150% MF unbuffed but i would be at 20k dps or 100% MF and 30k dps... what is worth it? more and faster runs? or slower more MF runs?

The faster you kill things, the more ilevel 63 items you will find over time.

The more MF, the better the items you find.

Probably not. Since Once you hit 5 stack you get a massive MF bonus to 1 item a champ/elite drops as it is always gold+. Just depends how many Affixs it has.

Well what's your dps total, what's your class and where are you farming? Usually I'd say no because you'd kill so much faster and be able to do more runs consequently.

I've been running 100+% MF in Act 1 and have been getting a lot of rares, just the amount of lvl 63 rares isn't that great which isn't surprising. But I've been getting more than one rares from elite/champ packs quite often. So when my bag is filled, sometimes it's 40% full of rares.

In full MF gear i'm 220% in DPS gear i'm 50%.

MF gear = 12k DPS
DPS Gear = 30k DPS

Basically, it takes a LONG time to kill stuff in MF gear but it's doable and a little more tedious.

So I've done A1 runs and A3 runs extensively. In A1, I can push 200% MF and farm comfortably or about a measily 40% MF in A3.

I specifically take note of my i63 affixes in A1 as compared to those in A3 and for the life of me I can't see much difference at all. I can do a butcher run in ~30 mins and come out with if I'm lucky 3 i63 items or I can do Azmodan run in about ~90 mins and come out with about 15.

A3 has made me a ton of gold this weekend. I spent about 6-8ish hours of played time and made roughly 100m+ in drops. I've sold about 30m so far and gave away 30m worth of goods.

Missed that. If you're farming act 1 22k dps is way more than enough.

One added comment since the flow is all about MF. I think I will be booting up XBOX for a little. Need a break.
Now mind you, I am NO where near you guys. My MAIN is a mid level 50 glass cannon. MF around 70%. I was farming. Finding BLUES left anf right. It was almost raining them. One thing I found was a ring that added 9% to my MF. SIcne I was handling the area well, I put it on.
NO BLUES (FORGET YELLOWS) for the next 15 to 20 minutes.
Took it off, Not as good as it was 20 minutes ago, but at least I was getting crafting supplies. WTF?????
But that is not the REAL reason, between my 4 toons. A LOT of hours. Mid 50 is my high, the others are a little behind.
NOT ONE LEGENDARY find. My son is up to 4!!!! 2 with our group that we play on Wednesday nights with (Mid level 40's). The hatred the RNG has for me is starting to wear. I will still play with the "group" on Wednedays. But that item grind.
Coming to a halt for now. I will be back, cause it is fun. Just not fun right now.
