As long as you are at the bottom of the ranges you should be able to complete the act, though you might occasionally have to skip a set of elites. Oddly enough HP is one of the least required stats. Usually if you're going to die, extra HP isn't going to help. When I finished Hell, I had over 50k HP. Didn't do squat for me in inferno.

Cleave is good fro taking out large packs, but those are not the problem. The problem in inferno is killing elites, rares, and bosses. Frenzy is better for killing those. Revenge will kill large packs quickly enough on its own.

Whatever the last rune is you get for revenge. Instead of 15% chance per hit, ups it to 30%, I think. I have a terrible time remembering skill and rune names.

I'm glad I can help other people advance in the game. Eventually you won't use any potions and will destroy the act in MF gear! Also, now that you have a good base for your skills, experiment some to see if you like using one of the other skills.

I notice a remarkable difference in life steal soon as I hit ignore pain with life steal. If you can regen enough hit points through normal LOH while in the ignore pain buff without the lifesteal then the extra 2 seconds would be beneficial. I'll try to see exactly how much it is adding when I use it.
Ignore pain is one of the first skills I switch out when going more offensive, so I'm not using it as often anymore, but I'll try it out to see how useful it is.

Finally got my DH up to 60 last night. Now I'm over 30k dps and have Asheara's set for armor, with a ~1000 dps crossbow.

For skills I've got:

The bolo with the last rune... big explosion one
Rapid fire with poison pierce

1. caltrops with crit bonus
2. marked for death with the area bonus
3. Fan of knives
4. Rain of arrows with the beasts that bomb shit

Generally I walk in, set caltrops, mark the biggest guy for death, and unload with rapid fire while bombing them with rain of arrows. When they close in and surround me, I hit fan of knives, drop a few caltrops and retreat, hit with some bolo damage to get hatred back up, and then repeat.

The big bolo explosion with marked for death area bonus really takes out huge numbers of guys quickly. marked for death also really helps out in coop so I make sure to keep a bad guy lit up with it at all times.
 
Finally sold something on the RAH -

BLUE 933 dps, 1hand mace. for 4.25 less 1.00 blizz fee = 3.25

So this equals out to be somewhere around 6million in gold.
 
Lost my HC barb at 55 halfway through A2 hell. I'm not annoyed by dying, but rather how I died lol. I was in the sewers in A2 and got stunlocked to death while pinned to a wall from waller/frozen/nightmarish, it wasn't even exciting or amusing 🙁

Still, 55 and through ~2/3s of the game without a single AH item and only dying once isn't too shabby. AH is only a requirement for Inferno, at worst.

I think I might be about done with D3 though. The whole item farming endgame just doesn't do it for me since I've already had inferno cleared for a while now; but it did last me a lot longer than D2 did at least.

I used use Frenzy LB, Cleave RB, Pre-60 because I would just switch out cleave when I come to bosses. But not with the Neph stacking, it isn't worth it to use Cleave since you end up wasting a slot for a much more important skill when it comes to fighting champions, elites, and bosses.

My current set up is Frenzy + Maniac (+dmg), Threatening Shout + Falter (-atk spd), Warcry + Impunity (+res), Revenge + Provocation (+proc), Battle Rage + Marauder (+dmg), Wrath + Insanity (+dmg). Running the Passives Nerves of Steal (+armor), Zerker Rage (+dmg at max Rage), Tough as Nails (+armor).

Have been considering switching out Threatening Shout for Leap though.
 
Gonna need to add more to my friends list. Have about a dozen now and other than the top name, the rest read as "## days since lasted played".

That's rough. I'm enjoying hardcore quite a bit. I wish my normal group of friends enjoyed the "thrill" of hardcore as much as I do. It really does open my eyes to the fact that my buddies have turned into little fairies when it comes to a challenge.

I think I am going to start a HC toon. What class is the best for HC ?
 
It's just a different style of playing, more careful and calculated. Also a lot less rushing, less risk taking. But when you hit certain level milestones and you start getting into the more difficult levels, there is a greater sense of accomplishment.
 
Definitely not DH in my opinion. From experience, their survivability is pretty shitty. Barb/Monk should be solid classes as long as you don't bite off much more than you can chew.
 
Lvl 53 Monk, playing with the wife in Hell mode grouped... So far it's been awesome, having a ton of fun... Last night we were both bitching about the lack of rares we were getting...

Realized this morning that I had 0% magic find bonus...


Thought to myself, what if I had a complete set of EQ with MF%? So off I went shopping.. Now I'm sitting with 160% MF bonus 🙂

Much weaker though, so I went back to act 3 in NM mode... having SO MUCH FUN!! Every champion drops at least 1 rare, sometimes two, my stash is now full of rares, with better stats than I've ever gotten normally...

Higher MF% gives you BETTER rares, correct?

Also, anyone ever try a gold+ EQ build? Maybe a fast way to get some moolah?

What ever class you are best at/enjoy.

It really depends if you plan on playing solo or with random people or friends.

I am rolling a melee wizard, which is actually fun as hell. My friend is a normal wizard and we play exclusively with each other. (Ha that sounded dirty) Anywho we are almost done with Act2 normal since we only play once a week.

I spend the rest of my time making my Barb hit as hard as possible until I get a decent shield to drop. I hit 90K dps while fully buffed the other day, I felt like a god. Then I got one hit by a wasp or something and immediately said I hate this game. I tried the suriviability thing and it's literally impossible to make a barb surive without a shield, so that's why I went heavy dps. I still have over 1k resist all mind you.

Once they have custom chat channels in the game(why don't they again?) we should start an HC channel.

I ditched my Monk's shield (26% Block and then Helm of Command +8%)

and now I am dual wielding and doing just fine. I thought the shield was absolutely necessary but now I don't think so.

(Side note. I can't beat Ghom. I have pretty good gear. So apparently I am not as good as I thought)
 
Ghom got buffed. Hes one of the strongest mini-bosses in the game I think. Ya in inferno, hes rough for anyone melee... heh.

I dont know, but id recommend not playing a melee wizard for HC heh.

2handed bow/cross + quiver
1handed cross + quiver
2 1handed cross

??

Isnt Attack speed super important on DH? 2handed crossbow/bows seem to be really slow for me (im still leveling him up, lvl 50 ATM, but i want to start preparing for when i hit 60)

Really depends on the stats you can find for each combination, don't lock yourself in with one combo.

I am not a DH but I play the AH so I know what's valuable.

I know typically a DH takes the skill that adds +Crit dmg when using 2h Xbows..most use that.

Then (These are expensive), High DPS +Crit DMG 2H crossbow w/ +Crit dmg rune= win
