This is tinfoil material but is there some artificial bidding going on?

I was about to put in a bid for a belt and this what went down:

current bid was 3k, i put in 3200
get an error saying bid is too low
refresh page and bid is 3400
i bid 3700
get an error saying bid is too low
I refresh page the bid is now 4k
I wait about 10 seconds, refresh
bid is still 4k
10 seconds again
bid is still 4k
10 seconds again
bid is still 4k
i go in and bid 4300
get an error saying bid is too low
refresh page and bid is now 4500

The fuck...

seriously? the bidding works like ebay, you put in a max bid and it bids for you

Probably people bid up to 4500 when the high bid was less than 4k and someone else bid between around 4.2k and the other persons auto rebid at 4500. They could have bid say 15k and it will keep bidding up until someone bids more than their max.

You guys wanna know an elite sellers AH exploit?

Having problems selling your stuff? With AH open, minimize and set your PC clock back a few days... Now you can cancel your auctions.

i honestly cant believe that works lol,

but i just tested it and it does
 
if you change the date back bid and the change it forward it just says the item expired you dont win it, its expired and still listed

Hah, that's too funny. Nothing selling on the AH lately either, not even minimal 700g bids for more than decent stuff

I don't know why they have to wait a month to nerf inferno act 2-4. I don't want to do a whole month of crappy butcher runs. Act 2 inferno is like 10x more difficult than Act1, it make-a no sense. They don't need to nerf it a ton, just so champ mobs are ridiculously stupid hard to kill.
 
I don't think Blizzard is going to do anything about it seeing as you can cancel auctions at anytime after the next patch. I wished I knew about it a couple weeks back when they would disappear into the void after the AH lags.

In other news, people were duping items which Blizzard hot fixed last night. It's a good thing they implemented online only to prevent these kind of things. /sarcasm
 
Question. Is it possible to purchase a digital copy as a gift? I want to purchase it for someone, but I don't see an easy way to accomplish this on bnet.
 
That is strange. You would think that with all the server-based control that the cancel option (does it still present the 5 minute timer?) would be present on... the server. 😛
 
Mother f*cker... Just started Inferno last night with my barb: level 60, 65k health, 12k damage. Resists were only 60-100 with buff after I reconfigured skills post-rape.

I can just walk through Act 3 and 4 Hell with minor difficulty, but spend 90% of the time running around in circles to recover health while range classes take care of business. Need to gold farm for better stuff. FML.

I believe you buy a game, and it it gives you the Serial Key. Don't click the "add to my b.net" option.

Then just mail that key over to your friend and when they create their B.net account the can redeem the key. I haven't done this for actual games, only game time but I'd assume it works the same.

You need something like 600 resists to live, plus a good shield and decent dodge. Your going to be a meat shield, like it or not

Kinda low on damage. I'm doing 7k with no fury, around 8.5k with full fury, and then a shit ton more with the various skills if I engage them, and I'm on act I hell
