Without the hacking concerns and it being obvious prices would drop I was holding my "inventory" in jsp fg. I basically bought game gold for half what I sold it for, so I didn't make out too bad

All they said was that their servers arnt compromised and the session id rumor(they thus far have determined) isnt true. That doesnt mean there isnt other possible code exploits.... It just means the "session id" rumor isnt true.

So you're speaking on behalf of "plenty of people" and have detailed knowledge of both their experience and level of threat protection?

And you choose to believe Blizzard with regard to the session hacking story, yet don't believe that hacks are occurring as a result of conventional means? So is David Blaine involved here somehow? People being hacked by MAGIC.

any demon hunters out there that can tell me what to look for in a high dps weapon? is it just dps that matters? I have a lot of money to drop on a weapon now and I want to make sure I get the right thing

+Crit Damage
+Attack Speed Increase
+Socket

If socket and no Crit Damage, its ok, just put emerald in it for Crit damage bonus...

Vitality is a +
 
Damnit. I need to get home and buy some gems.

Think I'm going to try a DH after I get monk to 60. Same primary stats right? Dex/Vit?
 
So eventually gems will be worth less and less since they can be removed from items. To prevent this, they should degrade one level each time they are removed.

Don't worry, in a few month Blizzard will come in and introduce Perfect Radiant Stars that require 4 billion radiant starts to create. A few months after that we will get Superior Perfect Radiant Stars, at the cost a trillion Perfect Radiant Stars.
If it ever looks like you might reach the end of the treadmill, they will just speed it up a little.

I imagine it's going to take a while, you need 729 flawless squares just to get a radiant star. That's just one gem for one slot. How many flawless squares you got so far and how long have you played? There will prob be new gems and recipes with the expansion to keep their value intact.
 
Crafting sucks.

Finally got the 5 mod wand recipe, and whipped up 10 for 1.4 million gold, along with hundreds of the purple essence and tears.

The highest dps wand I made - 615dps. Are you friggin kidding me? My current 1h mace is 975dps, which cost me 1.6 million on the AH, so I was at least hoping to maybe see some nice 800ish range wands with good mods... but no.

That has got to be the thing that pisses me off the most about D3. Why the hell is a base weapon's damage for crafting around 200? Why am I finding rare lvl 60 weapons with 128dps in Inferno A3? Why does a near perfect weapon have a mod like "Causes the enemy to bleed for 16-19 damage over 5 seconds" (where mobs have hundreds of thousands of health)?

It's like they didn't even try to match the gear to the game, but had two teams developing the parts seperately.

Barbarian is easiest to me: hit shit.

My first character was barbarian and he's level 52 now... He can hold his own in Act 3 nightmare so far and is usually one of the last standing. Damage dealt isn't bad. And you get to move around a lot once you start playing around the with skills and seeing which combos work best.
 
I'm having fun with my barb. Definitely turn on elective mode, because I don't think all the barb skills are hot. Frenzy and Cleave signatures are my favorites, along with Seismic Slam.

Also played a Wizard, and it seems like they can be tailored pretty well for group or solo play. Having a choke point with the Twisters is pretty nice.
 
I stopped selling in the AH, seems the market has reached full saturation. I've pretty much dumped several mil into buying flawless square gems hoping I can flip them down the road. They're averaging 2k a piece right now which is half the price of what it was at launch

Which is more or less what I was afraid Diablo 3 would turn into. Not a game, but people trying to market out to get ahead financially (if only virtually).

Thats because the game is cake without needing anything off AH until Inferno. Once you're in inferno, why waste your time with cheap stuff when you need the stop shelf stuff to stay alive?

EDIT: That is what disappoints me the most. Normal and Nightmare were so easy, then hell was ok up until act 3/4, where I think it was actually fun. That was the only real fun part. After that, inferno just kicks your ass and its a grind for money because the drops/crafting suck.

FYI, speaking from level 60 monk who can farm inferno act 1, dies 2-3 times just getting out of that initial canyon in act 2.
