Play a melee character and then say that normal mobs are RIDICULOUSLY easy to blow up.

It's just that damage vs health is very unbalanced. They deal a lot of damage but have comparatively very little health thus making glass cannon builds the only builds viable. Do you know that mobs in act4 when charmed kill each other in 1 hit?

350k for an epic ( very powerdful gear ) is okey... 2 act 1 inferno runs and u get it,
but 2.5 million ? = 8 runs... which is equal TO 24hours of gameplay...

Spend 24 hours for 1 peice of gear only , WTF ?!

Hungering > Devouring
Elemental Arrow > Nether Tentacle
Bat Companion
Caltrops > Torturous
SS > Lingering
Prep > (the one that gives 30% chance to not use cooldown)

Good kiting build, make sure your boots have +movement speed (at least 12%) and if you can get another item with +movement all the better. Lacunai bracers are an option for that

I do this same build, except change out the Bat Companion for Marked For Death (with the rune that adds AOE to it so other nearby mobs take increased damage too). Great build. Definitely use +movement speed, but can be done without (just harder to put distance to kite).
 
From what I understand gold gain grows exponentially once you A) hit lvl 60 and B) do Inferno. The Naelphim's Blessing or whatever it is gives you 75% more gold find/magic find when stacked.

Trading(buying/selling in auction house)

Though crafting isn't worthless, but you need the really hard to find and expensive crafts to make good items(costs like 175k gold to craft that kinda stuff I think)

I've got ~3m gold I've gained total through the game so far.

Now these others, they powerleveled to 60, corpse hopped or otherwise exploited to get to A4 inferno. They would also use known spots for resplendant chests (A2 there is one right by a WP, at least there was at the start of the game). So throw on MF gear, just run there, open the chest, and leave. Rinse and repeat. Sell stuff on AH.

Yeah Neph valor+inferno is crazy. I think they also might have bumped up the gold dropped with the last patch. Last night I got about 150k net after 3 butcher runs+slogging through act 2 to quest.

If that's the case I think it might depreciate very quickly when RMAH is launched. I have an idea how to make gold retain its value. Instead of launching RMAH why not make gold and dollars easily exchangeable.

the image is of a person running a bot to GF. averaging 400k an hour.

I can take a look it.. right now i have a 243(i think) +100dex(i think) 155 life on hit and +12%ias

I agree that gold will lose some value, but I think most people will still prefer to use gold rather than cash. There will also be plenty of people trying to buy items with gold and sell for cash.

Exchanging the two would probably be less profitable for Blizzard(or even illegal and/or not feasible, who knows)

Either way I've been getting rid of my gold now, value will continue to decrease(though the decrease is slowing)

im not even in lvl 60 yet and im pretty sure i got 500k at least upto now, spent in the stash tabs and leveling blacksmith/jewel and buying stuff. i wouldnt waste 10 bucks in somethign that its not that hard to get.

i think 10 cents is more like a real conversion

I think it's closer to $20 per million, but close

10 cents is not even close. go look at the items selling for 10 million. you think people are going to sell those for $1? A complete character with the best gear you can find for about $15, no chance. Not to mention if you sell something for $1 you probably get killed by fees etc. It's probably not worth trying to sell something for under $3 or 4
 
I don't think crafting is useless, it's basically the same as gambling in D2. It's pricey but the reward potential is high if you get lucky with those "six property" rares; also with a bit of luck I think the five property hell items could produce some nice rares for much less cash as well.

Bots are certainly possible but, on the other hand, so is putting a screenshot into paint and typing white arial text onto it.

Indeed. When I get home from work I'll have to do some digging

Bots in D2 got pretty sophisticated though, I wouldn't be surprised if the same people got up and running quickly in D3, even if it was a single level or character.

With the simplified game vs D2 they don't have to worry about joining or creating games, or worrying about XP. It's all about finding gold. Probably not too hard to do for the pros

all you need is a lvl 60 char with some deacent gear + GF gear, simply bot hell non stop, never worry about dieing and you will mow down everything

D2 bots farmed specific bosses non stop, i know because its what i did, was dumb simple. might be even easier in D3 simply because there is less randomization to levels. however stuff is harder to kill, cant LOL holy hammer/smite everything to death in 2 seconds
