and its bullshit...sry but this is really unacceptable

Edit: So is there a way to change your potions from "Q" to some other letter/key?

Yes, change it in key bindings. I play a decent amount of League of Legends where your skills are Q→R so I set it up that way in Diablo 3 and switched my potions to 1.

My friend is playing a witch doctor, should I go Barb, Demon Hunter, or Wizard with him?

I (24 Wizard) was playing with a buddy last night (20 or so) witch doc. We had no issues running through act two.... the tanking part kind of sucked, but everything went down fairly quickly.

OK, the elective mode thing - I tried moving one down from the same category as defense with elective mode enabled and I couldn't put it in slot 2, just in slot 1. Did I need to move what my defensive skill in slot 1 was to slot 2 and then enable my other defensive skill into slot 1?

Click "S" to open up your skills tab, click on one of the skill trees. There should be left and right arrows now (as a skill tree is bound to a position in the skill bar) and you can select any other skill.

Probably Barb for some tankiness.

whelp, so far i am having a lot of fun. playing a Demon Hunter. only level 9, cause i am taking my time and exploring every nook and cranny i can. got my first yellow last night, a pretty sweet bow. killed the Skeleton King, which is a far as the beta took me so I am pretty excited about seeing the new stuff now. 😀

right now i'm preferring playing solo...did co-op for a bit last night and everyone was just running ahead to the next thing while i was looking around at everything like a noob. i guess maybe i just have to get over that completionist part of me when i group up in the future. it was pretty cool though that one of my friends had some gear that i could use and they didn't need, so they partied up with me, and went to new tristram and dropped them. so when i went back to town, there were two items just laying there waiting for me lol. never really seen anything like that. the rpg part of me imagined all the townsfolk going about their business, then some dude randomly appears, drops a pair of pants and a quiver on the ground and disappears and then 30 mins later i appear and just pick it all up no problem. im sure its just me, but i thought it was pretty funny.

anyway, right now still chugging along on my own but i'm sure at some point i will want to group up with people so here's my tag:

KidNiki1#1977

game on! 😀😀😀😀

I'll have to check when I get home 🙁

So far this is my group:

Wife - Monk
Me - Barbarian
Friend 1 - Demon Hunter
Friend 2 - Monk

I've been the only one to die and it's been twice in Act II lol. I need to spec into more defensive skills because when I do my shout to gather all of the mobs on me they tend to rape me after their stun wears off lol.

Still playing a Monk. Level 20 I think was what I was last night when I quit.

I played a bit on my own before jumping in with others. At the end of the night I played some with Fenixgoon. He was on his Barb. When I got on, he asked if I had kill a guy named Farqu. I was like, don't know. He said it was an Elite in a building that was kicking his butt. I was like we can give it a try. he said hte guy had way to much lifesteal and was killing him faster than he was kill it. So I go in and whip the things ass like nothing. I was only a level above Fenix as well.

Basically the monk is sick with the right setup. Showed a few others my setup and they were like, wow, that is MUCH better.

Pretty simple really for setup.

Select Elective mode so you can pick the skills you want.

Skill 1) Heal
Skill 2) Dash
Skill 3) Blind
Skill 4) Dodge Mantra
Left C) Crippling Wave
Right C) Serenity
Passive 1) Damage Reduction
Passive 2) Healing per Spirit spent

That's it. Use dash to initiate into a big group of monster and then hit blind while pummeling them with crippling wave. Any range monsters on the outside or things that may hurt you just dash to them again since dash has no real cooldown.

If you start to get low life hit heal or Serenity. You a pretty much un-killable in this setup. You can clear huge waves of monsters and pretty much beat down anything. The Butcher boss I just stood next to him the entire time even with the fire going off on me. Didn't matter. He couldn't hurt me at all.

i also didn't have the deeps when i was fighting that dude - originally was using cleave...then switched over to frenzy 🙂

frenzy + attack shrine = OMG crazy barb.

but i agree...the monk is a total badass. i knew that would be the case from the beginning ,haha.

Beat Act 1 last night with my barb, cleared level 15 just before the end. I gotta say the Act 1 final boss was too easy. He was *WAY* harder in Diablo 1 😛

But thus far I am enjoying the game. The art style is really growing on me. And it certainly looks better than the open beta.

Friend of mine is going the hard core route. He has gone through Act 1 most of the way 3 times now. Has yet to get through it. And he is a very experienced D2 player.

does anyone else have a guest pass? I've never played a diablo game before. Maybe the servers will be fixed by tomorrow...

Ya I love frenzy but the lack of AoE kills me. I'm thinking of going with Frenzy/Cleave but I don't know, it will probably suck.

I have to disagree with this sadly... I'm on nightmare Act 2 right now and I went through normal mode with a demon hunter partner and a barbarian partner. The Barbarian tanked like a boss and the demon hunter did DPS. I basically helped out with either if the need arose...

Now in nightmare the monk isn't as good at tanking nor DPS. It's a caught in the middle class. I actually think its one of the weaker classes right now.

I do have to do some testing tonight though. I've been running dual wield and I need to try out some shield builds. Ill check back after I try it out.

Quick question:

I'm playing as the monk, but as soon as I got Lashing Tail Kick, I no longer use dual wield swords/axes as my secondary weapon (right mouse click), that is now Lashing Tail.

Am I missing something here? Am I no longer going to use dual wield weapons for the game?

(LMB is Fists of Thunder.)

Any way to change this up?
