Having a blast playing with my gf. Finally a game we both can enjoy. Yesterday's bullshit was a bit frustrating. We drove 2 hours to go pick up a box copy for her after she saw me playing. Got back to the house and the servers were down 🙁

You really couldnt just buy it online?

I was able to reach Lv26 last night with my wizard, about 1/2 through Act 3, and the game exceeded my expectations overall. It's been really fun on the 1st run through. The server downtime has gotten my memory of total playtime fuzzy, but it was somewhere around 8+ hours. The only things detracting from the experience were:

*party members skipping cutcenes/etc (if anyone in party skips, it skips it for all--would like to see them all on the first go)
---will just watch them as I play through with my brother when his game arrives today/tomorrow

*crappy locked skill-set on toolbar
---didn't know yesterday that you could fix it in options; god this will make the game so much better!

*was having trouble keeping the blacksmith leveled up enough to actually HELP me since I was buying lots of stash space also
---won't have to buy that stash space again, so at least I won't have that problem more than once

Say...does the level of your blacksmith/jeweler carry over to every character on your account, or do you level them for every character? Just curious.

1 reason I would not play through the game for the first time with a party. Half of the essence of Blizzard games are the cut scenes. I can't imagine people skipping them on the first play through.

A couple of my friends are the exact same way. They always talk about what would happen if the company went out of business, as if that's a relevant concern anymore, especially with Blizzard...

So they exclusively buy physical copies of things.

I bought the physical copy because the box looks awesome 😀

Except for the fact that if this company went out of business.. the game wouldn't work even if you had a disk.. ( even in single player mode since there isnt one)

so download from Blizzard FTW..

yes it does.. so keep your mats in the stash so all toons can use it.. pretty cool that way.

Of course it's just a video game. What else would it be, and who said it was anything else? That doesn't excuse it's inability to work for so many people after purchase - get it? It doesn't need to be some "grand race in life that you need to compete to prove something", it just needs to work.

Its an online game, to expect it to work the day its released is a bit naive. And what are the chances it will run fine by next week? Pretty high Id guess. Raging over something this trivial is silly.

Yup.. especially since Im guessing he already has the installer since he's playing it, counting the two hour drive (which is a long ass time) and gas money....

Yeah it was annoying. I figured people would watch it since it was guaranteed to be everyone's 1st playthrough. The good part is that you can exit and start/join a new game in 30 seconds and do that quest again if you need to. I enjoy the multiplayer gameplay more than the story though, so I'm content saving the missed pieces til when I go through with my brother on another character.

Took me forever to get it downloaded and installed last night, so have not actually played a minute yet, but hoping to pop on tonight and try things out. I'm only on the trial thing right now (thanks Imp! :awe: ) but I'm KeithTalent#1995 if people

Never played anything Diablo at all, so I'll be pretty noobtastic I imagine. 😀

That option locked toolbar was annoying. They added that option during beta and until you found out about the option to revert it to how it was, seemed like a setback to the game.

I didnt either but quicky figured out this game is super simple.

Anyone who is a fairly experienced player and in the 15-22ish range want to team up? I want some good teammates to play with on a regular basis. I am a wizard, it would be nice to get a tank and maybe a shaman in there. 😛

I had no idea until today that a wizard should upgrade his beginning wand to a dagger or other weapon. I had just kept the wand because that seems logical for a wizard but obviously a regular sword will increase your spells, which is really odd.

Now I know I guess...

that's interesting, I didn't know that at all, but I haven't played a wiz yet. I will definitly be using a swd then.
