I get multiple types of errors (on different attempts) :

Bnet is down
Try again later
This account has no license for D3

sigh

Lol, so apparently their "beta test" was a slyly marketed stress-test. I suppose how else are they going to get so many people to waste their time. I guess it's better than some games that seemingly charge you full price before testing for them.

Don't you see how "always online" requirements are a boon to you the player? This is good for you. Shut up and deal with it because we know what is best for you.

Took me half an hour just to log into bnet. Of course once I finally did that, all I was able to access was the public chat rooms.

What do you think a beta test is? They are TESTING something, and need people to help. In this case they are testing the ability of their servers to handle all the people that will want to play on release date. They were not coy about this, it tells you right on their main page that they are testing the servers.

Dang. Managed to get in and Diablo3 tells me I don't have a Battletag. So... Diablo3 screen minimizes to bring up battle.net, I log in/create a battletag, restore Diablo3 only to find out I'm back at the login screen. 🙁

rawr - just seconds after I post - "I got in".

I thought it was a thinly veiled marketing stunt!

Lame. I downloaded a bunch of it on my laptop and it gave an error. I restart the launcher and it just freezes at "Updating Setup Files". Awesome.

Whoa, settle down there deckard cain. I wasn't even able to get on their main website earlier and haven't heard anything about the open beta until today. In fact I read one article about D3 a year or two ago, that's how much I care.

But still, I wouldn't call beta-testing and stress-testing their servers the same thing. For one they were seemingly not even in the ballpark, and it's not like this is their first MMO, or whatever you want to call what they have going on here. And two, would you considering being "invited" (as they put it) to test new product and when you get there the door is locked and nobody answers, testing their new product? Unless they were in the door-lock business, probably not, and you probably would of felt like you just wasted some time.

I'm sure their servers will be getting hammered much worse when the game is actually released, good luck!

I logged in and played for a few minutes without much trouble.. stuttering like hell though.

I got in and tried it out a bit. Got to level 4 in probably 20 minutes. I was getting some error 37 or something for it being "full". I didnt have nay stuttering.

Ill wait and buy this one once it goes on sale for a bit cheaper

Tried it, got to the end (it won't let you find the "fallen star"). Don't know what to think. Most of all it reminds me of titan quest, but it somehow doesn't feel very satisfactory. Maybe it's the barb I'm playing

To a certain degree, sure. Is it my fault I got there after everyone else and now the business is full with other people testing it?

Either way, if this resolves release issues, it is worth it.
