As long as you realize that your sheet damage means absolutely nothing with a thorns build.

You ideally want to roll weapon damage off of pig stickers if everything else fell into place.

that's part of the problem, the sticker I got has 2 damage affixes.

Many thanks to those that helped with the power leveling last night. You know who you are (and most of you could guess). It was much obliged and will be even better when I figure out how to play with the wizard...

It has been a weird week.

Playing barb I got an awesome ancient aetherwalker and playing dh I got an ancient smoldering core. Will save them until season ends for my wiz.

Did a couple greater rift pub runs last night, mostly 65-67. One wizard in our group was just destroying everything. I was probably 2nd highest DPS and could keep up with the wizard, but he was teleporting everywhere just to find the elites. The other two guys would always die trying to catch up lol. Didn't get anything good, but I'm already pretty happy w/ where my barb is.

I watched some video of a Wizard build where they just walked into crowds and wreaked havoc with little to no loss of life. And here I thought i'd have to stand on the sidelines and fire from afar.

I would love to get at least one chapter of this season done. Hopefully playing 5-10 minutes a night and another 10 minutes in the morning will get me to Magdha...

One quick question. I haven't spent any of my points on skills just yet as I am trying to really figure out what to prioritize for a wizard. I know a lot of things are build specific, but do you all have any suggestions to what should be my one focus in each category?

Finally got the weapon on the sader for my cube. Will miss the extra time on the horse but with a Coe based build really need that extra block to reset the cooldowns.

When I updated my non-season wizard that was already using Delsere's, I more-or-less followed this guide: http://www.icy-veins.com/d3/wizard-arcane-orb-build-with-the-dmo-set-patch-2-4

With my wizard, I can solo 62s without much difficulty.

r/diablo is a cesspool.

If it wasn't so handy for getting quick access to build guides and news, I'd have stopped going there forever ago.

r/diablo3 is a bit friendlier, but doesn't quite fill the news and build gap.

How about the individual sub for classes? It was quite helpful when I used to go there last year.

I would get the builds, and those subs are great, but I would still be missing the news.

I might try subbing to diablo3 (for news) and each of the class subs and leaving diablo out.

Blizzard actually participates in r/diablo, too. That sub has everything except its community (and it's a big enough single con that I'm considering abandoning it in spite of everything else) going for it. It's so weird.

Got the ding last night that I had completed the roland set. A quick look through inventory and I should have everything except jewelry for it (though lite on ancients).

Anyone try this build?

My bash build couldn't handle grift 55 for conquest.

Apparently you need the sweep build. I don't have the shield for it, so I haven't tried it yet. Every other set, as long as I had the main items (Light, Akhan condemn) and took a little time to fix rolls worked great. Finished 55 on my first try each time. Couldn't stay alive or do enough damage when I tried a 55.

So I'm not a fan of Roland currently. Things might change when I hop back in and if I ever get a Denial.

i've been trying out the WoL hammerdin build... don't really have a good 1h for the build though. i've got an ancient Skywarden that does like 4k dmg that i just can't give up... still find it hard to survive in grifts starting around 50+... but it's decent fun while i try and collect my last piece of invoker

I've reached gr 70 solo on my WD(lon garg) Wiz(Channel Twister), and should be able to hit 70 with my M6 DH. She's a gotta decent Manticore. I have most items I want for all 3 classes. Maybe missing just an ancient TnT for the Wd, but I'm using a really nicely rolled frostburn and cubing tnt.

Did some gr79 group play last night. I played support wd. Pretty fun.

finally got a 5th piece of invoker... getting the 6 piece bonus using a cubed rrog. didn't have belt of the trove so was pretty unimpressed testing it out... got a rare belt to drop while testing dmg and tweaking and cubed it... got trove on the first try.

ugh... now to try and get that shield to drop...

just started playing for the first time in years, weird to see neph valor gone. i was like "where are my stacks" but overall drops seem a lot better

i only play ever few months or so... and even then it's still pretty much like this every time. basically i spend a week or so every time trying to figure out what all has changed... i'd say that's probably my least favorite thing about this game... how often they've made massive game changes to mechanics/classes/gear/systems/etc.

I decided to level a Wizard the other day, and I'm trying to decide which build to go with. I'm currently looking at going with a Tal'Rasha set, but the build that I found is a speedrunning build that seems to rely heavily on the item that reduces cooldowns after killing an elite pack. That may not be a big deal if you have Nemesis bracers, but I've never seen a pair drop on any character (even non-seasonal).

The only bad part about the shield is that it's HIGHLY dependent upon the type of mob that you're fighting. When I fight pure melee mobs, I can watch the cooldown wipe animation just quickly shoot back to 0, but on spellcasters or slow-attacking mobs? It's nearly worthless as it will barely proc.
