Lame just found a Kridershot. Rolled so bad I nearly uninstalled my game.
Any EU players here? I'm on mostly midnights. Feel free to leave your BT and I will add you 🙂
We can do some grifts etc ^^

I'm using both BotT and BotP. Bane of the Trapped is multiplicative damage though, afaik, and BotP is additive. I may try to run Zei's Stone of Vengeance though (if I start using Tzo Krin's Gaze) because that is also multiplicative. I'm not sure how I'll get a control impairing effect on enemies from range though, so I may go Gogok instead of BotT if I go Zei's.

Do you mean how am I applying a control impairing effect for BotT to work? I often fight in melee range, or close to it. If you weren't already aware, BotT, once you get it to lvl 25, slows/snares all enemies within 15 yards. That counts as a control-impairing effect, and thus makes those enemies qualify for the BotT damage bonus.

Ah, yes! Thank you! I just learned that BotT procs itself at lvl 25, so I spent this afternoon leveling that gem to use in combination with BotP.

It seems our monk builds will be getting less good after the patch with most things pointing to dashing damage. Do you plan to continue on with the monk, or re-roll?

The seasons were always intended to be short.

Season 1 was the first season, and Blizzard said they let it run long so they could get themselves sorted out for the future.

It's supposed to go:
Season begins
PTR to test next patch
Season ends
Patch deployed
New season starts
etc.

I'm personally more excited for the patch than the season. I'll get a toon up to 70 to earn the transmogs/banner/pennant each season, but I'm going to stick to playing mostly non-season.

I would normally agree, because it's much more efficient farming exp on a well geared character, but man, it becomes extremely boring. So, I'll likely be starting a new character in S3 again. I've noticed that item drops become very stale on an old character.

I'm excited about the changes on the PTR right now with the barbarian, so I'll most likely be playing mine, for at least a little bit. The monk is in a really good place right now, I think. I don't generally focus too much on one character, because I like to experience the game in varied ways (melee, range, etc.). I'm sure I'll still play my monk, DH, barb, and probably my wizard too (especially with the upcoming changes to wizards). The next patch will be exciting for multiple classes (thought maybe not all of them).

I've still got pieces to hunt for in non-season, like Sunwuko's Shines. I never had one drop yet, season or no.

I'm not nearly as leveled or geared as you are non-season.

I switched out BotP for BotT. I use the poison dot gem, and Zei's as well. I find BotT to be a much, much larger damage boost than BotP.

I did some grifts this weekend (even did a grift 42 in a pub group - first time playing with a zdog and it was unreal - all the mobs frozen in a spot, the monk didn't seem too familiar with that and kept pulling the mobs out of that area, but when it worked, it was unbelievable the kind of cc a WD can put out).

On this 'yards' measurement, how do we measure that exactly? I tend to reposition hydra and myself according to where mobs are, to try to maximize the distance, but I wonder if I'm exaggerating things by running far enough away that blizzard can be casted at the very edge of my screen.

U need to run with me more I have gotten about 6 shines in season alone. Not saying they rolled that great but still....

When did double experience points start? I played last night with you guys and leveled up 5 or 6 times. I need to do as much as possible before this goes away.

This is ridiculous, 2 month season? And they have a PTR where Barbs are completely out of control doing GR60 while other classes can barely break GR50.

Wizards were able to do GR59 in a group until the last nerfs now it's probably 56-58 pending the rift/boss/errors. If the patch gets released how it is on the PTR right now the devs clearly don't care about balance.

Just a little note on the 2X XP... it's only on monster kills that the buff applies and not on the rift/grift/bounties XP 🙁

Jay Wilson is back guys! 😎

Are Barbs still doing GR60+ after the nerf to the IK set? If so I am definitely rolling one for season 3.

They've already said Season 3 will likely be longer than Season 2 is.

There doesn't appear to be a set length, the seasons are just built around their patch cycle.

And so what if it's extra short? They issued a mid-season hotfix, it was DOA at that point already.

I still can't get a second Unity. Season 2 has killed my interest in seasons.

In non-seasons, I never was able to get the Templar relic that makes him unkillable (though I believe I got the one for both the other followers). I also only got one Unity. In this 2nd season, I've gotten 3 Unitys, I believe, and two of the immortal Templar relics.

Are you solo most of the time? RNGesus seems happier when you're running with your buddies. ^^

I've gotten my two best pieces of gear (Ancient Torch and a really good Sunwuko's Shines), solo. I've gotten good gear in groups though. I think random is random. Perhaps you'll get more legs in a party, but what that leg happens to be is up to the RNG gods.

Yeah, the point is you get more drops when in a group. Don't forget that loot share is a pretty awesome source for gear you may need from someone that's likely just going to crunch it. 😉
