The problem was my initial question and confusing was met without an mention of the trial to begin with. I had no idea there was even a trial that would place you in a higher greater rift, thus confusion ensued on how the system actually handles failures. You are still forced to farm another keystone (if you don't already have one), but rather than begin at level 1, you actually do a trial that places you higher.

Although it was eventually explained how to do greater rifts, you probably should have just read through the patch notes or watched a youtube video on it. Or even better, just experimented with it. When 2.1 was coming out, i read up on the patch notes but didn't quite fully understand how it all worked, but once 2.1 came out, I did a T6 rift, got my trial key, ran the trial with the same group, got a level 27 Grift key, and then beat that rift. Took maybe 20-30 min total to complete all those steps.

Also, for most folks, they should have plenty of regular rift stones available. I only had 60 when 2.1 came out, but now that i only costs 1 stone per rift, that's a lot of Trial Keystones I could get before needing to do bounties.

I would just run rifts and use kadala for it. You are much more likely to get a cache legendary from a cache.

I actually think that was my first level 70 legendary for my seasonal crusader. I really wish it was possible to trade.

Meh, Kadala hates me. I've dumped at least 20k shards without anything remotely worth while. I was thinking the crown *was* an A1 cache item.

If anybody isn't already aware, if you do a bounty on T6 now, a legendary is guaranteed to drop apparently. I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but it's the current situation.

I'm guessing this started after the gold buff dropped? Because I noticed I did 3 A1 bounties on T6 Thursday and got 3 legendaries. I didn't think anything of it because I had it mixed in with 2 other caches from T4.

This makes it much easier. Definitely time to get a new RoRG. 🙂

T6 bounties take so much longer now with the Boon of the Hoarder gem. Gold piles everywhere from every other enemy.

Yesterday was epic, hit 3 treasure vaults totalled 100mm gold. Found a boon of the hoarder.

and finally got a Rorg with a socket. Rerolled Loh to chd and life is good.

I have 5 pieces of the Marauder's set now, so with a nice new RoRG I have the full set bonus. I'm using a rare 2-h crossbow though. I feel like it's going to be tricky to find a good 2-hander. I'm doing T6 ubers and rifts, etc., fairly easily now though.

There is a craftable bow that comes with elite damage that might be an upgrade for you.

Where these vault happens ?
Which Act ? Bounties ?
I yet to catch any
I have not logged in since 2.1 was released but iirc, you can the community called 'Vault' and people inv you to Goblin rifts. Any Torment, but only in Adventure mode.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool. I didn't even think to look at what I can craft. I'll check it out!

In the meantime, I have a decent rare bow that I've been using. It's minimum damage is around the same as the maximum on the Helltrapper I was using before.

So no soup in in RIFT :'🙂'(

That is what I have read. I have also only found the Vault once while doing bounties.

Finding it once is all that is needed though. Get the Boon of the Hoarder gem from the boss and you will have plenty of gold from then on.

Playing my Barb again, finally, it's fun.

I built myself a nice pre-RoS, pre-WW-nerf style WW-based build that's pretty much as close as it gets (compared to what WW used to be with Sprint combined). In fact I even like it better now than how it used to be. I use my Ancients with the Ancient's Fury rune as my main source of Fury generation (not exclusively though, but it could be technically), and I can essentially WW non-stop.

I went with the Dust Devils rune for WW (creates small additional tornadoes) and Run Like the Wind for Sprint (that one too creates additional tornadoes). So basically it's not a high DPS burst build in the veins of a Crusader Fate of the Fell "shotgun" build for example, but it's a "constant, stable" type of DPS, the damage comes from WW itself, WW's tornadoes, Sprint's tornadoes (which I keep refreshing during my WW'ding) and my Ancients too. I also like to combine all of that with my Enchantress + Maximus, spawning that chained-to-her demon as well, making this my small army, it's really fun.

I can presently do Torment 5 efficiently. I don't struggle against most Elite packs, since my Ancients act like a distraction / buffer, in case of danger I can just move about a screen away from the action to recover. I also maxed my Paragon Life on Hit points, so if I just WW and Sprint in a group of Elites and I'm in danger (Arcane Sentries 9000 Alert of Doom and Death type of danger) my lasting tornadoes act as a good DoT and I can let myself regen, so the survivability is good. The only things I need to be careful about are the obvious after-death-explosions from Elites, their Arcane Sentries and, on occasion, a Waller pack combined with another who thinks it's a funny thing to Jail me at the same time.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm back with the Barb, always was my favorite class since D2, and it is again now. I still really like my Crusader, however (the new Roland's set with the increased stacked speed of Shield Bash is just pure demolition).

I found a Horadric Hamburger last night in Whimsydale, which happened to be level 4 of a rift I was running.

I couldn't stop laughing for a good 5 mins. Well done Blizzard!

So, the pet WD seems to be crap now, at least for higher Greater Rifts. Around 24-25 is where I start having time issues. I think it is a function of getting unlucky though, as it is always AoE heavy mobs that slow me down. Basically, anything that can quickly kill my pets wrecks my DPS output. I can do T6 with zero problems, for what it's worth. Still can't find a Quartz or the last piece of my Jade set, so I'm stuck with pet build.

Hopped on the crusader last night and enjoy it. I really want that flail that eliminates the wrath cost of Blessed Shield. Once I find that, I'll be Captain America! I found a shield that reduces the CD of Holy something or other and that makes it around 10 second CD. Going to be a lot of fun! Also, 2nd Reaper Wraps I crafted were 20% Holy Damage, 6 crit!

While it may be different between PC and Console.

What material does it take to be able to enchant Level 60 amulet/rings? I've got some that I'd like to change to DEX for my DH but I can't even select the neck or ring slots.

If it is pre 1.8 (I believe that was the patch) stuff, you can't enchant it. If you're on console, I believe that means anything dropped before the release of RoS. As for what it takes, it is just that level appropriate crafting materials + gold. If it is a legendary, it might take gems (not sure if that is only for max level things).
