What I've been told by an Amazon rep is that Amazon actually ships the games out to local shipping distribution centers days before the release date and is held there. Then on release day, the games get shipped out for delivery.
 
Newegg shipped my copy today via regular UPS ground. Looks like I won't be able to play until later in the week. Does this mean that I will actually be able to get some work done?
 
i'm not sure i can wait until tomorrow for amazon to deliver it. if i break down and buy a key from blizz, what would i do with two keys?

Lose an extra ~$20? No one will buy it at full value when they can get it straight from Blizz for $60.

That said, I'll buy it for $40 when your box set comes in 🙂
 
WtH? I can install? Its installing....but it seems to be downloading more? Anybody know?
Took a bit to install. Took me bout a half hour to install. ~50meg patch at the end......HUGE TIP. Wish I knew this for beta, uhg.

Turn OFF Auto Detect Lan Settings in Internet Explorer. My download rate went from crazy erratic to normal. I wish I would have known that for beta, would have taken me 3/4 the time to download. No wonder the D3 installer was acting *so* strange. My download would spike up....then go to 0 for a time, and spike up. Etc. Like 1/3 on. After this change it went to my full speed and pegged. Pretty awesome. But its cool now, for all the new upcoming D3 patches.

blizzard downloader fail ftw....3rd installer tome.mpq would not dl fully, and new download client is not compatible with the old file=re-download the whole game again...fuckfuckfuck
 
Don't feel like reading all the threads. Can someone tell me why I should get this game? How does it rank compared to WoW or other RPG style games? Thanks.
 
I am an idiot. Went out to walmart and bought the game. It doesnt open till 3 am EST 🙁

edit:
Didn't realize how late it is! 3 am is only an hour from now.
