Anyone else noticing unresponsiveness from the game menus, specifically the character selection screen?

When I switch characters I need to click the buttons multiple times before it switches. I used to be able to double click on the name and then click resume game. Now I have to click about 5 or 6 times to get into the game.

Not a big deal, I was just curious if anyone else had this issue as well.

They've acknowledged the character select bug. You don't have to click it more than once I believe. It will eventually select your character. There is also some bug when switching from HC to SC that will cause all the gear of your HC character to appear on your SC character in the select screen, but the game is unaffected.

Sniped a new weapon last night at 300m and am hopping I can get 1.4b for my old sword. (1150 dps, 61% crit damage, 2.8% LS, OS sword) Maybe, maybe not. I'd be happy with 1b for it. Did flip a few items this weekend though. Was looking for new pants and snagged up a pair for 60m, resold for 250m.

Didn't get to play as much as I wanted this weekend. Stupid release at work had us doing stuff all weekend. But I did almost get to 80 paragon. I switched my spec a bit to a rend HotA build and enjoy it for leveling. Elites die much quicker than pure WW that I'd been playing.

where do you find these auctions? and jesus that's a sweet sword, would love something like that on my monk.

i've been using HOTA with WW barb and it's been great. once they nerf WOTB i might use rend as well.

I use WOTB with rend. I don't need War Cry and I have like 70% crit already, so Overpower - Killing Spree is kind of useless. I get more damage out of Rend. I think it is kind of OP to be able to just Rend and run.

I also check the AH for upgrades between every run. Probably why I am so slow at leveling up. I am sad though, because the last real upgrade I can do are boots (which is almost pointless) and a 6 crit Mempo. After I spend 1b on my 80 str 80 vit (well above that, but that was what a I searched) 6 crit Lacuni's, I am almost capped on upgrades.

I snipe great deals because I search for something and filter by time remaining. Almost every good deal I get has 1 day 11 hours left. I just look for things well below market value, snag em up, and relist them for a profit. Sometimes it doesn't work out as fast as I'd like though. I have like 4 or 5 amulets that haven't sold. =(

Pick something broadly useful (AR/Vit/Stat armor for instance) and/or valuable and watch the most recent auctions, you'll find them eventually. I don't have quite as much capital as smacka but still sold a ring I bought for 1M for 39M, a chest from 5M to 60M, some EFs and IK chests for 5-20M upsells, a belt from 3M to 20M (and one from 2.2k to 2.2M) and quite a few others (plus those currently for sale).

I also know the market of certain items. Like, I know any 5+ crit Mempo will sell for 2b. I search quite often for them, and if I see one for 1.5b or under, I'll buy it and relist right away. (Granted it has a main stat of 175, as there are a couple without a main stat and those are worthless). That is an easy 200m. Same with weapons. I search for spears with Crit Damage, LS, and OS. If I find one around 1200 dps for less than 1.5b, I will buy it and relist it, well, I'd probably use it because I want one for my Monk, but if I found 2, I'd relist the lesser one. >_>

I usually search for my items and look for outliers. Like the pants, I wanted a pants upgrade so I search for mine. Everything was going for around 200m and one pair that was just listed was for 30m. Bought it instantly. Sometimes, I will lower the stats because nothing exists on AH, but the results are the same for flipping. Look for those cheaply listed items and resell them.

Since gold can be traded around the actual value sellers are selling for, I might start selling for bnet balance again. Basically, I will list an item for like 120% of the gold value in the RMAH, have it put in my bnet balance (where instead of 15%, I lose $1.00), then buy gold with the balance. That used to work out well for me (and I made more than the item value, plus skip the 15% charge) before the value of gold dropped well below what was available on the AH.

I wish I did more flipping, but I just can't seem to care enough about it to do it more often. I used to do it back in the day and still check for outlying opportunities, but have cut back on perusing the AH so much and just play.

Too bad we didn't get to run together. My schedule is so retarded, so I rarely get to play with people that work 9-5 jobs. My exp is moving fast though. Really fast. Public games at MP5 or 6 in A1 are just amazing. Weeping Hollow, Fields of Misery and Decaying Crypt are particularly incredible. Highlands, Catacombs, and just about every random cave/dungeon that spawns has an awesome concentration of monsters.

Every run is usually a full level, or about 180m exp. Of course, I do use a 29% exp gem in helm. I think my average bonus exp is around 820-900%. 😀

I actually sold something on the RMAH, I was surprised lol. It was an "ok" weapon throw Skull Grasp and I'll get .50c out of it. Which in "gold" is way more than I would have gotten otherwise I think 😀

i've sold 2 rings the last 2 days, hope things are picking up.
one was cc/cd/ar for 2.50
and a str/cc/cd/ias for 22.50

As much as I want to do team runs, being on a barb and everyone else being slow really makes me hate it. I can do MP8 without stopping once, and MP10 no problem (the elites just take more than 15 seconds, so it is not as efficient). With a group, I either have to kite groups to them or wait for them to catch up. IDK how monks with 35% movespeed can't keep up, or wizards with blink. =(

That's actually something I've noticed as part of a larger theme - they don't make the classes compliment each other well.

Melee classes use echoing furys a lot, and the fear causes mobs to splinter and run away, which is terrible for high area damage classes like the DH.

There are a few instances where it has worked well, but they are few and far between, and the most popular builds don't compliment each other well.

The best group I was in had a monk with cyclone strike and wave of light, a CM wiz, and a 480k dps DH (I am ~235k dps DH). We'd all stand together, drop defensive sentries, suck all the enemies to us, cast marked for death, freeze everything, and then drop massive AoE damage.

Monks and CM wizards are great for team play. Barbs (especially smash) are great for AOE and single target damage. A monk cyclones in, CM wiz freezes and then barbs clean up. DH's just kind of get left out. >_> I still think Ball Lightning would be better for groups than Bola / Spike Trap. I just think they would hit multiple targets more times. Idk though, I don't play a DH anymore, and when I did, Nether Tentacles hadn't been nerfed yet.

when i'm on my barb, i tend to run on ahead and pull massive packs back to the group. but by the time i actually lead the pack to the group, they're almost dead because they walked through about 2 screens worth of tornadoes...

the problem isn't the speed, it's the WOTB + WW. uninterruptable with no pathing restrictions lets you run through everything. it's just not really fair to any of the other classes in team play. you avoid almost all of the game pathing and interrupt mechanics with WOTB and WW.

best group i've been in is me as monk, friend as CM wiz (200k dps) and HOTA barb (crits upward of 14 million fully buffed). cyclone strike, freeze, and watch things just drop like flies lol.

This is essentially how all of my partying works out. I usually end up leading the pack on my monk, jump into a centralized location of a bunch of monsters, alternate popping cyclone and overawe (lately it's been mantra of healing though, since guiding light procs with MoH), CM wiz freezes and tornadoes, barbarian WWs around me, and all other classes do the best they can with their AE to help mop up.

With good teamplay we can clear through each pack in areas of densely populated zones MP7/8 effortlessly, with minimal downtime. Even though I have an EF, cyclone negates that; especially when I pair it with CW: Rising Tide. I absolutely love how often I can spam abilities with it. The only downfall is not having the survivability from teleport from FoT. Also to try to easily move through dense packs of monsters in tight areas and get to a centralized location to start spamming cyclone. I usually make do though. With FoT I'm usually starving for spirit. It's a trade-off and depending on the group I'm with either suits the purpose more effectively.

interesting idea with MoH, i'll use that in groups if there is another monk, but otherwise MoC:Overawe is superior since i can add 48%. i'm usually in close proximity with the other players anyway so i can blast them with breath of heaven.

i typically don't have problems with spirit, though i'll have problems if i try to keep mantra up while spamming cyclone.

Yesterday I tried something new to me. After reading lots of posts about how people play with the AH, buying stuff and selling it at a higher price I thought you were are lame lol 😛

Yesterday I was sitting at a low 400k gold, level 52 Barb starting Act IV on Nightmare at MP6.

So I checked my stash and saw it was full of level 25 to 45 rares and 2 shitty Legendaries. I said "Why not try selling this stuff". Posted the max 10 items in the AH and this morning I sold 8 items, making 800k. It's not much and didn't check the prices before posting them, so i'm sure i've been played on some items but WTH, i'll get better 😛

I'm now hooked lol

The only ways to make money are to "abuse" the AH or bot. The fairy tale of find that one amazing item and be super rich after it, is just that: a fairy tale. And with that 1.2 million gold you have, once you hit 60 you can, if you look around, get a set that will enable you do to like MP5 Inferno with very little trouble. Search youtube for "big mac barb" and you can get a good guide on how to build a cheap barb. It is named because at the time it, the amount of gold spent on the set was about what you would spend on a Big Mac and McDonalds.

I bolded the important part. This doesn't happen often with level 60+ rares (or even 55+ since even -5 lvl requirements are not rare anymore). If you want to make some money quick on the AH, try running lower difficulties with the highest MF gear you can equip and sell the best items out of those.

I've also found that if you post it low, but don't post a buyout, if the item is good enough it will end up in a bidding war and you will make some serious gold. (Again if it's less than lvl 60, or at least has worthwhile -lvl requirement stats).

I avoid this because I've been burned hard. I bought an amulet for 125 million, used it for a couple of days, then bought a new one and put it up with no buyout. It ended at just over 5 million... No thanks.

I think a lot of people ignore auctions because they're just not convenient and don't give them the instant gratification. Definitely can get some good deals with them though.

When I search, I will sort by most recently posted and then by most recently ended. If there is a deal to be had soon, I will bid. Otherwise, I will ignore the item completely. I am not going to plop down money to wait 2 days to get an item when I can find an almost identical item available right now.

Is that 14m on a single target?
